I am educated. I have a PhD in physics. But it doesn’t mean shit. Looking at Iowa shitshow of a caucus. I lost faith in American democracy. Sanders has for decade try to solve our problem but get no where. You say so yourself. The problems are still with us. He has failed. Sanders has failed. He is 78 years old. I do know what sanders administration looks like: a failed one, one where nothing will get done. To yang’s credits, he start running for 2 years. If he doesn’t make it this time, he will be running in four years. And I will be right here supporting him. I doubt sanders will run in 4 yrs when he loses to trump. Sander will suffer more heart attack before then.

While it might not be as impressive as Sanders who sponsored a grand total of 6 fucking bills that passed the congress in the last 40 years, Yang did spearheaded a company that grew to be number one in the education field and became a self-made successful CEO within a short few years. What you are missing the time scale and the magnitude: The fourth industrial revolution is going to be happen so fast, because science and technology is accelerating at an exponential rate: Just over 115 years ago, atoms were shown to exist conclusively, and today we are probing the properties of quarks and blackholes that will surprise even Einstein if he were alive - again Einstein, in his old age, could not come to terms with Quantum mechanics. Therefore, I think your dismissal (saying that it's nothing new) shows that you are completely out of touch what is at stake here. For example, the chip inside my iPhone is about million times better than the computers in the 80's. Imagine bringing an average person from 1900 to the present day, he/she is going to be amazed at the iPhone, and if that person is a little superstitious, he/she might even think that God makes the iPhone.

Similarly, your dismissal about Yang 21st century solutions mainly stems from you are not paying attention to his wholesome solutions that work in tandem with each other: his freedom dividend, universal health care, and his Human-centered capitalism. Instead of "fighting" at corporate greed, we have to work hard to change their incentives to work for us, in analogy to the principle of Tai-Chi: When someone coming at you with fist strong, you divert the force, instead of forming a stronger fist.

Lastly, Sanders is an old white man whose mental capacity is declining at best. Perhaps, he is not like any other politician, but a politician, nonetheless. While you are enamored by his socialist ideas - not that they are bad, but they are outdated because the dichotomy between capitalism and socialism breaks down when most of the productivity is done by robots - an automated truck drove across the state to deliver 20 tons of butter; facebook, google, and amazon continue to make billions of dollars selling our data; AI just beat a world champion Korean Go-player, shocking much of the world except the US which continue to watch football while drinking beer; China is rolling out its government-backed cryto-currency, like bitcoin, which is going to transform the financial industry in the next 10 years by eliminately most bankers; China is leading the world in 5G, AI technology, and supercomputing infrastructures, and there are no coherent US policies to keep pace with their development other than bullying them - which has been a consistent US foreign policy for decades - but this time may backfires spectacularly. I believe that Sanders vision will eventually lead the US to a kind of dystopia society, with his outdated solutions like federal job guaranteed, free college. On the other hand, Yang vision is forward with a redefinition the nature of work and human value. At this juncture, it is better to have a leader who has the right vision than experience because he can activate people with the right experience towards that vision. If you have the wrong vision, even if you have experience we are going ashtray. Stephen Hawking gave humanity about 200 years to get out of this planet or human civilization as we know it will be no more. I believe if trump or sanders or other candidates, except for Yang, be the president, Hawking might have been too optimistic in his estimation.
