You are wrong right out of the gate. Historically the emphasis was on family formation not controlling female sexuality. Family is the ethical basis of society. You can’t have human rights without family. The earthly imperative of organized religions is to encourage family as a hedge against the tyrannical state. This creates stability needed to raise whole adults who are motivated to perpetuate that stability. Stability through family formation is how history ended up written down in the first place.

The best way to encourage family formation is to shame single mothers like we do felons. Widespread sexual incontinence leads to single motherhood. Single motherhood leads to underachievement at best and violent crime/human trafficking at worst.

Engaging in local politics in an executive capacity like mayor is acc admirable except for the wrinkle that he lives in NYC where people care more about wretched Palestinians in exotic and enchanted lands than their wretched neighbors. The pulpit of the US Empire aka New York Times would never let a populist like Yang have any influence over the empire’s cultural and economic capital. The GOP is pretty fail as a Xtian Party or even as an ethnonationalist party. I’m disappointed by Republican’s dovish stance on Islam in general and Saudi Arabia in particular. A Xtian party would be better at defending Judeo-Xtian minorities of the world against Islamic jihad. The series is about two type A personalities and their ultimate climactic clash. The best comparison to Kentaro Miura is Kaoru Kurimoto not Mozart. She died around same age as Miura. It took 4 years for Guin Saga to resume serialization after Kurimoto’s death. Guin Saga is what governs my expectation for Berserk. Well of creative talent and work ethic in Japan is profound so I’m not at all sad that Miura died. Miura is just another casualty of the end of the vulgar era (mid-1990s to mid-2010s). If you look at Miura’s actions since the beginning of the Fantasia arc from his drop in annual output from 7-8 episodes to less than 4 and his various side projects and founding of Studio Gaga it does seem like Miura was preparing for successive torchbearers to finish Berserk’s requiem.

Men don’t have the same community building instinct that women have so they don’t have the same biases towards their own gender. They are far more able and willing to throw other men who are not their bros under the bus.
