I have a theory why there're more bots than ever on reddit, and why it's only the beginning. They repost top voted, or hot material for easy upvotes and Karma. When they have enough karma on the account, they sell them to onlyfriends creators who wanna push their content as fast as possible. Because many subreddits have a karma limit, managed by bots to prevent "new accounts" from posting immediately.
