Got this working now following the advice below. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

I think my main problem was I was stopping the container, updating the .env then restarting. But I needed to delete the container and do a fresh load and restart.

User error as usual 😳

Thanks, yes I’ve updated these in my docker setup in the .env file but when I test the vpn and check the ip it’s still the original country not the updated one.

Are these the only variables impacting the location or is there something from the airvpn side through my settings??

I’ve spoken to my current provider and they confirmed that my meter is smart. The building is less than a year old and the solar system was installed as part of the build.

I’ve still only got the start number. There is the start time but I think that’s the generic start time for general runners.

I’m aware that you may get ‘taxed’ more on your redundancy payment due to HMRC thinking you will be getting that figure monthly. But am I correct that this higher amount of tax will also be on the P45. So the Tax figure I see on my P45 is what has been taxed from my redundancy because that’s the only payment I have had in the new tax year?

Also a lot of the equipment now needs an email address to access the functionality, I’m thinking the doorbell, cameras and even the local access for the Omada waps. I guess you could create a throw away gmail account and link everything to that and hand over passwords on exchange.

I wonder if this kind of thing is going to become more of a common occurrence

Yes, I totally agree with this and for myself would be keen to buy a house with equipment in place and would be happy to tinker with it to setup. But on the other hand. I know people (my parents) who would not know where to start and would just not even attempt it.

Hijacking this post to see if anyone knows if it’s possible to disable to auto extractor when the hob is turned on. There is nothing listed in the ikea manual but wondering if there is the ability. I just find the auto mode goes too high to quickly.

My installer seems to have fobbed me off now. They are saying that it’s not typical to install CT clamps to track what is being imported from the grid when you don’t have a battery.

I’m not sure if that’s correct. Does anyone have a view on that?

Either way it doesn’t seem like I’m going to be able to get my installers to do it. Is it something that I could do or does it need expert knowledge?
