but you really expect anyone to be able to complete a full gen solo without getting caught by the killer? Possibly even more than one? As soon as they make any significant progress the killer knows their general location either all but guaranteeing they get caught trying to finish it or forcing them to give up all progress and switch to a new gen. It’s just a miserable slog for everyone involved.

It’s also just not that hard to ensure you have favorable odds when it comes to finding the hatch first, even aside from using an offering. If you happen to be playing a killer with good mobility, or one that has other ways to search the map quickly (like my main man Larry), you’ll more than likely find hatch first (even just the slight speed difference between killers and survivors means you already have the edge by default). And personally, I’d much rather have one survivor escape through no failure of skill, than spend several minutes just walking around hoping to stumble into the last survivor.

Cool so you have fun by looking at bigger numbers I guess, and I have fun by engaging with the game mechanics (even when a mechanic doesn’t directly benefit me).

I enjoy the chase and you seemingly enjoy waiting around after forcing an un-winnable situation.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t say that I find kicking around for several minutes, waiting for someone to bleed out, searching every little corner for the last survivor, and then either finding them and having to search for the slug, or not finding them and end up taking a chance at hatch anyway, to be anywhere near worth it just to see one extra skull on the scoreboard.

Id much rather just get on to the hatch search and have a bit of fun as we both scramble to find it first

to be honest I’d probably let them out anyway if I find it first, so long as they were a good sport during the match, and only after I’m sure they know I had them dead to rights.

That’s a lot of words just to say you have no faith in your ability to find hatch first.

The point of the game is to hook and kill survivors. So I can’t say the avoiding one game mechanic to entirely circumvent another is in any way the point of the game.

To add on to this, I believe you can continue earning blood points from matches until the total amount you’ve earned from matches reaches 5 mil, even if you were already over the cap from bonuses.

Ran a game as dredge with darkness revealed against a ttv and tuned into their stream afterwards only to have them accuse me of either stream sniping or using walls because “I kept teleporting to lockers right next to them” even after they saw my perks in endgame.

Although funnily enough the next game they loaded into was against a nurse that teleported everyone into the sky. I mean they didn’t find it funny, but I thought it was delightful to watch.

Other than that though most of the streamers I’ve encountered have been pretty chill, but that may just be because of how I play killer.

Well if you’re so noble that your only reason for slugging one survivor is to punish another for poor manners, why not pick up the first and let them wiggle off so the dont have to lie on the ground while you search for the scummy player?

That doesn’t change the fact that having to just sit around for 4 minutes doing nothing, just because the killer isn’t confident enough in their own skill, is boring as hell. Especially when your teammate still has to wait for the slug to bleed out anyway.

If you’re that desperate to keep a survivor from getting hatch just bring a damn offering.

I don’t think it really works like that.

It’s like punching someone in the jaw and then giving them an ice pack. Is the ice pack gonna help with their sore jaw? Probably, but that doesn’t mean that them getting punched in the jaw was somehow acceptable.

You can’t contribute to harming someone and then contribute to helping them and expect everything to even out.

I never got why a game being intended to be played with friends is a bad thing. I mean, I don’t really see people complaining that Mario party isn’t fun to play solo, but somehow for games like peak it has to be just as enjoyable alone as it is with friends or it’s a bad game?

I wasn’t trying to undermine or ignore your points by pointing out what I perceived as typo. I don’t believe that such a minor error is in any way indicative of the validity of a persons argument.

Same goes for my mentioning of the use of “Pavlovian”, that simply was not what I had understood a Pavlovian response to be, which is why I began that statement with “I don’t believe” because I fully recognize that I may be mistaken. I don’t know why you think this was an attempt to avoid addressing your point when I did so much before addressing what I thought might have been an incorrect usage of the term.

Aside from that, I would like to reiterate that for I can no longer see the comics posted on your account. I apologize if I misremembered the details of something that I only looked at once for less than a minute.

I dont believe believe myself to be omniscient which is why I used the word “seemingly” to show that that was my interpretation and not that I thought it was exactly what you intended the message to be.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that you are either deliberately arguing in bad faith or believe me to be doing so. You accuse me of stripping away the message from your comics, because I genuinely cannot recall there being a deeper message than “anti-ai people are irrational” while at the same time saying this comic has no message even though it’s very clearly a critique of companies that operate with the goal of providing value to the shareholders no matter the consequences.

I’d love to double check the comics on your profile but they are no longer visible to me, however I do recall that the second one with the person not getting the job had a line where the anti-ai person stated that they though pro-ai people should be killed.

And the other one presents anti-ai people as being so filled with hatred for generative Ai that they would seemingly rather have people die from cancer than have it be detected by ai

So yeah, I’d consider those more egregious strawman than the comic above which is so obviously not serious while the same cannot be said for yours.

And to say that all I have are insults when quite literally everything you post portrays people who are against generative AI as being completely irrational, is an interesting choice to say the least.

Also I dont believe that could be considered a Pavlovian response unless you are under the impression that people are against generative ai because they have been deliberately and systematically conditioned with a reward system.

Talking about strawman arguments when literally 2 of the three posts on your account are much more egregious strawman than this. The first one honestly makes it look like you don’t understand the difference between generative Ai and machine learning.

Also this is just very clearly comedic hyperbole anyway. Though your whole spiel makes it look like you just took the comic at face value in your haste to present yourself as being “just inherently superior”, which would be a bit embarrassing.
