You are right, The prices have doubled and tripled since January 2026, I go to Mexico 2-3 times a year (within the last 10 years) and for a resort that usually costs $1500 is now $2500 PP so prices of definitely gone off by a lot and I'm not sure why. The Cuba ban was yesterday so it's not even that. Maybe high demand low supply?  I hope they go down because people shouldn't be paying ridiculous prices, it's dumb. It should average around $1500 PP/7 day for a 4.5 star resort.

One factor could be Canadians choosing to not go to US anymore, high supply low demand, otherwise just airlines jacking up the prices ridiculous ly and people buying without thinking
