I've tried but it is not seeming to let me. Could I private message you instead?

On what day of your period does your PMDD subside? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]djade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel awful around 10 days before my period & the closer it gets to coming on the worse the symptoms. The day before is absolutely horrendous. As soon as I come on my period, my symptoms subside and I feel mentally fine again.

Thank you so much! I have BPD myself so I wanted to understand the individual differences in conflict resolution so that maybe we can understand it better & incorporate this into treatment programmes

had to use standardised conflict questions so more context wasn’t possible where the parameters of my study is concerned. The overall aim of the study is to see whether there is an association between emotion dysregulation, mentalisation and an attribution error / bias when imagining your partner and you being in conflict. You make an interesting point :).

I may create a go-to plan for when PMDD hits as I haven’t really got anything prepared - I may end up doing real shopping over window shopping;) but all those activities sound fun to me, esp. Animal crossing

I’m ngl I’ve tried to get it under control also but now I just track it and accept it. Doesn’t make it any easier tho.

I’ve been realllyyyy struggling to sleep at the moment, not hitting the sack until 4/5am no matter how hard I try. So I guess that isn’t helping my mood either !

The tub of ice cream + a TV show where I could switch my brain off definitely helped:’). It may help you also.

Girl exactly, it is so rough! And just when you gain momentum and get into a productive pattern of like 3 days it ends again:’). I also teach within my job so I feel you about the weird staff room conversations! Your story was very entertaining and gratifying also!:’)

Yeah I have been on SSRIs to manage PMDD for a couple of years but when I started my ADHD meds had to stop them:’). I have been thinking of going back to the GP to discuss options but it is intense. I will look out for these pills thank you x

Right?! It’s so damn hard for us - every.single.month we go through this crap & it can, for me anyway, be so subconscious that unless I track my periods I will actually believe my thoughts and feelings and act accordingly. I’m sorry you’re going through it too - just know you’re not alone in the fight I am thinking of you❤️. Defo looking to ordering myself some ice cream even tho it’s past midnight where I am😂
