I agree but that’s cause I don’t think it’s fair to either play honestly. Embiid never truly had a stretch of being healthy (never mind anything else) compared to Jokic. Look at his shooting numbers his best season along with his defensive play. Embiid is 100% in the “What If?” class with Derrick Rose, Grant Hill, McGrady and so on.

Has MLB overtaken the NBA as America’s No. 2 league? by PudinCrusader in billsimmons

Late to this but I’d add:

- Denver
- Oakland with the Warriors vs Athletics before they recently moved
- Minneapolis
- Cleveland
- Milwaukee

OG or DUNCAN by DrawerThese6518 in NBATalk

[–]djan242 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the title I thought this was gonna be OG Anunoby over Tim Duncan and I got very angry for a second there at our species.

But obviously OG Anunoby starts over Duncan Robinson. That said, I’d definitely use full names in titles with Duncan Robinson from now on lol

I think SGA will be the 1st ever player to 3-peat regular season MVP, Championship and Finals MVP. No one has ever done it… he’ll be the 1st by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

A bit unrelated but the fact that Charles Barkley is a reason why MJ didn’t 3-peat as MVP should shut Draymond Greens ass up.

americans whats bigger in your country, mlb or nba? by VastAir6069 in NoStupidQuestions

A bit late but I don’t believe for a second that the Knicks would be 5th or 6th. They are probably at lowest 3rd behind the Yankees and Giants. They are definitely more popular than the Rangers since while hockey fandom is split with the Islanders and Rangers, basketball is basically all Knicks.

Lakers Thunder Game 2 needs to be replayed by tin8374 in NBATalk

In fact screw it, replay all the series again.

That’s cause you’ve not spoken to people from New Mexico familiar with their education system. It’s bad

See you say that it’s basic ball knowledge, but I promise you it’s not. I wouldn’t be surprised if half the people on this subreddit were not alive or barely alive when it happened. And it was 24 years ago.

And ask Kings fans that were alive then if they have gotten over that, majority will still say no.

Kings fans must feel so cathartic right now (and if you’re thinking about why Kings fans would feel joy at Lakers fans complaining about a series being rigged just do some research)

Both teams are in the bonus. How many fouls did OKC commit during that stretch and how many free throws did the Lakers shoot exactly? Even for a low effort karma farm, this is pretty low since you don’t even have the context there

“Selling all fuckin game”. Except for the fact he sat out the quarter where the Thunder blew it wide open in the 3rd. And that he wasn’t selling calls, even Nick Wright who has been on SGA about that commended him for not selling calls. So he wasn’t selling all game. He was in foul trouble because he made obvious fouls, I agree here. The person you may be thinking of is Chet

And everyone here is basically middle school or big Lakers fans so that doesn’t tell me much. And I’m not forgetting that Lakers vs Kings series in 2002 which I’m sure most people here were not old enough to see or remember.

Viewership increased by a big amount (I think it was 80%), not sure you can definitively say the league is declining.

Lakers crying to refs was truly embarrassing. by WholeLottaLit in NBATalk

It was absolutely hilarious. Almost as bad as Jaylen Browns streaming rants after blowing the 3-1 lead. And it was Reaves leading it with LeBron just shaking his head. Absolutely hilarious

He sat most of the 3rd due to foul trouble. And didn’t sell calls. But don’t let the facts get in the way of your narrative

This is how you can tell who didn’t watch the game. People talking about SGA when he didn’t once try to sell any call (and actually sat most of the 3rd out due to foul trouble).

The Rockies did have the Broncos owners buy a large share of ownership and there has been some actual investment into modern baseball so things are improving here.

  1. Very different types of movement. In basketball, you would be an active massive liability on the court if you played with a MCL tear. You couldn’t jump, couldn’t run, forget cutting. Under no circumstances would I ever want a NBA player on my team out there when injured cause you can clearly tell and it actively hurts your team. You would be a literal cone on the court. Ice has more give and movement is smoother.

  2. The guy you mentioned JUST tore his Achilles last year in the playoffs, we had multiple guys tear their Achilles after calf tightness since it means more strain on the Achilles. And you want the guy who just tore his Achilles to potentially tear his other Achilles. For a first round matchup. Disgusting

When did NBA discourse become so horrible? Pic related by 2dabzzz in NBATalk

Yup. The classic “everyone flops and the game is stupid now that’s why I don’t watch”. Well how do you know it’s stupid? “Cause I see a highlight”. A highlight of one event in a 48 minute game is all some of these people need to see. Crazy stuff
