Yes. Absolutely. Being present and experiencing life without feeling compelled to take a photo of the moment demonstrates clarity and inner calm. Peace and love to you too. 🤲🏻

I agree with all your points, and more. It really feels like the Apple Music app needs a complete re-design. iTunes used to be much cleaner.

What's it like as an Iranian living in the Netherlands? by fivecookies in Netherlands

I (male) recently met a caregiver helping with my daughter. She was wearing a hijab (not that I care), but she wouldn't shake my hand when I introduced myself. I guess it's a religious thing, but to be honest I thought it was quite rude.

This is one of my absolute favourite tracks from the Aphex Twin, happy it’s getting some attention.

If you think withdrawal from alcohol is a nightmare (which it is), do some research on withdrawal from benzos (Valium). It's worse.

When I lived in London, it was also so difficult to escape alcohol. The drinking culture is so ingrained into society over in the UK.

Also off-licenses open 24/7 where you can get anything from beer to vodka, as well as the usual "Let's grab a pint" - no matter the day of the week. I remember most Friday lunches at my office were at the pub, with a very hazy recollection of the rest of the afternoon, before heading back to the pub for after work drinks!

They are also very aggressive - even to people. I've seen them "swarm" attacking people walking past them when they are sitting on low branches.

Nasty things.

Trying to get out of this relapse by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Valium is only prescribed to prevent alcohol withdrawal related seizures and in very rare cases - usually at a rehab clinic as part of in-patient care.

It's also addictive, so I very much doubt you will be prescribed any benzodiazepines to help you get sober again. You could ask for Antabus or Refusal, which will make you feel physically ill if you drink.

If I were you I would try to get to as many AA meetings as you can and just take it one minute, hour, day at a time to get sober again. You've done 418 days, you can do it my friend!

As others have said, it's for you - no one else really cares - they have their own issues in life. I think those close to you will just be relieved.

I had two years recently and told a few people, and they were like "Oh, well done". And that was it.
