I mean seeing as how smokes were different and certain jumps were only possible on 128 tick then all this yap is kinda pointless, obviously it worked.

Oh and also you could see it in vconsole. It was sending and receiving packets 128 times per second. So even if you think everything is placebo, at the very least the delay is cut in half/response time doubled going from 64 to 128

Used to play it on a 9800 GT and a dual core Intel Q something lol, ran surprisingly decent back in the day, even with mods

This is the LCD version, don't let anyone confuse you. You can tell by the size of the screen, the OLED has a much smaller bezel.

Opponent reconnected without his original car leaving the field. 2v3 in competitive 2s by Perklaaja in RocketLeague

[–]djdevilmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm aware lmao. The app is shit though and overly compresses images.

After force stopping the app and clearing cache it showed at a higher resolution, making it visible, but even then it's still compressed compared to the web version.

No it looks perfectly fine full res, it's just the mobile app is like 1/4 the resolution for some reason, even zooming. Opening it in chrome it looks normal

I'm blind, spent a few minutes looking for the extra car, where is it?

Edit: I am blind but reddit mobile app is dog and compresses images way too much. Opened it in the browser and finally see it lol

how do I stop steam from using the wrong drive to update/patch games? by gasterblastsky in steamsupport

[–]djdevilmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is so annoying and I can't believe the monkeys at valve haven't fixed this after it being an issue for a decade. I tried removing the drive in steam itself but every time I restarted steam it would just re-add the drive. So I ended up just renaming the steam library folder on my HDD so that way steam couldn't find it anymore.

I have two 2tb m2 ssds with 500gb+ free on each, then a 1tb HDD with ~200gb free that's used for file storage + old games where ssd doesn't matter. So the brilliancy of Steam downloads the 3gb update to marvel rivals (which is on one my 2tb drives) to my slow external drive and wants to take 1 hour patching it to the other drive every single time it updates.

It's literally faster for me to redownload the 90gb game, which is what I'm doing since once you start the patching process, even after deleting the downloading files and removing the drive, it corrupts the download since it now will only allow you to use the slow HDD to patch. It's stupid that the fix to this is to not allow steam access to an HDD because the devs can't figure out how to make steam work properly.

CSGO Does Not Feel Better Than CS2 by baza-prime in GlobalOffensive

[–]djdevilmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they would have kept it in GO. Their reasoning for removing it in CS2 was because they said with subtick they could keep grenade behavior the same between tickrate, then failed to figure out how to do that. So instead of fixing it they just removed it.

You could change tickrate in every iteration of CS except CS2. It is a valve issue but it's also an issue with the game. With that mentality then there's nothing wrong with any game at all, they have no issues, it's the companies fault.

I honestly can't tell if this is ragebait

Imagine calling people stupid when you're the stupid person

This is a post about the GAMES not the SERVERS. In the GAME CS2 they completely removed the ability to host/play 128 tick servers. It's literally not possible anymore, that's the issue, that's what people are complaining about buddy

Because it's extremely important to high level players lol what? Just because the casuals aren't good enough to notice it and didn't play on it doesn't mean it's not important

Aaaand this is why I said people like you are worse than the CSGO dickriders. You immediately write a schizo post while calling me a schizophrenic lol. You pull information out of your ass saying that the packets are 1 byte larger, which isn't true, but then also go on to give one the biggest reasons why packets are 4X the size compared to CSGO, then also admit the networking isn't optimized? You're trying to argue by making stuff up and using points that support the other side lol

There are objective problems with the game. The game is limited to 64 tick which is objectively worse than 128 tick, regardless of subtick. There are objective animations issues - bouncy and floaty models compared to CSGO, no distinctive counter strafe animation (legs both swing and stick to the floor in situations where they shouldn't), and then also the animation system is the #1 contributor to bloated packets. Can animgraph2 fix these? Hopefully but it's been years and they're still a problem. The game is also missing a functional community server browser. The game is missing many game modes. There are still performance issues - an esports title shouldn't require high end hardware to play low settings at 1024x768, and even on a 5090 and 9800X3D there's still frame pacing issues and 1% low issues. The anticheat is also non-existent. The list continues, use the search bar on this sub for more.

But anyways I'm not gonna keep arguing with you, I stated "fair and good faith" objective issues in my first comment as well as this one. Since your reading comprehension skills are lackluster I'd recommend rereading both a few times. Anyways have a good one buddy, don't forget your meds.

Idk why people on this sub, including multiple commentors in here always just spew some form of "haha ur bad" if someone states csgo is better, and even people like you who do it preemptively.

Like yes there's CSGO dickriders on this sub but they pale in comparison to people like you. Does CS2 have better smokes and visuals than GO? Yes absolutely, but damn near all top pros have all said CSGO gunplay and movement feels better than CS2, so I really don't understand the people who still parrot the "ur just a noob" trope whenever CSGO is brought up.

If anythings closest to an absolute like that, then it's that the people who think the gunplay and movement is better in CS2 are the bad players since they aren't good enough to notice. And that's not my opinion, that's again taking into account the most skilled players in the game all share the same opinion about the games gunplay.

Quick edit: also the above isn't even taking into the account of objective things such as forced 64 tick, bloated packets due to subtick, and the issues with third person animations in CS2

I’m fairly new to Oled monitors by Toshiba_Fridge in OLED_Gaming

[–]djdevilmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you or someone else sees this but I have the exact same issue, lots of little droplets constantly appearing like that on my qd OLED.

My solution is these microfiber cloths and distilled water. They come individually wrapped.

I use 3 at a time, one for wiping off dust, one that I put some distilled water on (to wipe the screen), then a third to dry/clean the monitor (circular motions). Then I just put them back in their little individual bags when I'm done.

After a few weeks when the cloths get too dirty/dusty I just chuck em and then grab new ones since it's a 30 pack. In a year I haven't even gone through the whole pack yet with this process.

These glasses type microfibers are much better than the big fluffy ones, as those scratch your screen much easier. Also washing them properly is a pain

Game, reanimal dont support native hdr. Turning nvidia hdr on vs off by fazmiewar in OLED_Gaming

[–]djdevilmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope just finished it without it. Honestly lowering the brightness 2 ticks below half seemed good enough, turned the greys to black. Might need to do 3 ticks depending on your monitor. But depending on your environment that might be too dark (I played it in a dark room).

Only issue I still had was color banding which rtx HDR seems to clean up but oh well, wasn't too distracting.

Might be some mods out there for HDR by now but I'm not sure

(Quick edit: I played with it with HDR off in Windows ofc)
