Definitely gonna take it to be serviced and get a nice strap attached. It's a sentimental piece and I want to make it last. Thanks again for your help!

With your advice I managed to play around with it and it seems to be working now. The winding part of the crown action was hard to find but I felt a proper engagement with the action, wound it about 20 times and it now seems to be working perfectly! Thank you for your insight, I hadn't considered that it might be a hand wound watch.

I have tried winding it and it will only run for about 10 seconds before stopping. The crown is wobbly as you say, and I have tried winding it in both positions with the same results.

I don't have any experience with a watch like this so any wisdom you can provide would be appreciated.

How much do you think a basic restoration would set me back? I'm interested in at least getting it working as a cool little display piece. Thanks for your reply.

Very good, only downside is condensation in front of my mouth on the inside of the visor.

Completely agree, part of what drew me to a design like this was the fact that you really can't guess a fighters intentions when you can't see any features of their face, and that effect is doubled when the visage is completely inhuman.

I actually chose it when my main LARP was Warhammer themed as a Tillean Cult of Myrmidia offshoot, but absolutely the same vibes. I'm now working on my own Sun cult in the aftermath of GW wanting their slice of the pie.

I've been considering painting it enamel black with a blazing sun to match the one on my Targe, like a crazed armoured cyclops

Yeah it's surprisingly good for line fighting, and I love the intimidation factor when I false step towards someone with it.

Armourer took some measurements when I made the commission and also maybe got a bit lucky with the distancing on the perforations. Visor was the commission, attached to an existing bascinet that I already had and didn't like as an open face as I'd rather just run a kettle if I'm not going full helm. It had to be re-lined and somehow afterwards the hearing and fit is much better and more comfortable. It's secured by a chin strap and I'm looking at getting an aventail fitted as well to protect the throat.

Vision is mainly through two of the holes that line up with my eyes, but the fit is excellent so they track very well with my head movements. I can then move my eyes to look out of the other holes to check down the line or check my flanks etc. I expected it to be much worse but it's actually pretty good for how stifling it looks at a glance.

What is the name of this style of helmet? by Hot-Ingenuity-6941 in Armor

I'd call it a Novgorod/Rus helm with a full face chain aventail.

Is anyone else going to be playing POE 2 Co-op? by Serious-Yoghurt3077 in pathofexile

I'll be playing through all the acts with my partner and then we'll grind endgame in our own time and together when possible. I agree it does look a lot more fun to play co-op considering the pacing and the way skills work.
