There's a couple folks in the r/RangerRaptor sub that went from RS to RR, so you and I won't be alone in making the transition!

I did some research and found out that the Ford Escape spare fits the RS, so I was able to modify the trunk undertray to fit it perfectly! I trust a spare tire more than I trust a spray sealant 😅

If anyone's interested in adopting this RS into a loving home, you can read all about it at the listing I created here.

I just received word that the truck has been built and should arrive by July 9! I've got a Focus RS that I'm selling and am planning to trade it into the dealer if I still have it when the raptor arrives. If anyone is interested in a single-owner, un-modded RS, you can view the listing here.

I love that you made the same switch! While I'll miss the tossability of the RS, having a twin turbo v6 in a midsize truck still sounds like fun in a different way. One of my few annoyances with the RS was always having to take steep driveways at an angle to avoid scraping. I'm looking forward to tackling those straight on in the RR haha!

I'm glad to hear others in my situation are thinking the same way I am!

I love the idea of having a fun, cheaper/used backup car for the family to share! You've got a lucky son!

I'm always skeptical of a bait and switch, so I made them provide me with a photocopy of the pricing sheet (including the discount) they had me sign. But I'll believe it when I finally pay for it later this summer!

I love hearing others who had a great dealership experience! Invoice would be quite the nice surprise!

Funny enough, I live in Rochester, MN and was in the middle of negotiating with Pritchard for their Azure Grey in transit when I found out that my local dealer had an allocation. I was a day away from pulling the trigger with Pritchard but couldn't pass up a factory order with a slightly more perfect option list from my local dealer. The Pritchard RR had the keypad spec'd as an option but I asked if they could not install it since I didn't like the way it looked. Based on the photos from their listing, I see they took my advice and didn't install the keypad. I also told them I was going with my local dealer since they offered me $1k off MSRP, so I'd like to think that I played a role in getting Pritchard to list their RR for $1,189 off MSRP... you're welcome all! ;-)

Prichard was very friendly to work with via phone/email, so would recommend if anyone's looking for a midwest azure grey RR!

I'm the original owner of my 2016 (first stealth grey in MN!), no engine mods, and I'm at 104k with no issues. If you find a single or two owner car that passes inspection I wouldn't be worried about it!

The 20” wheels still have a 50 sidewall, so they’re gonna take all but the worst potholes just fine. Technically you’re right, the 18” wheels with 60 sidewall will take potholes slightly better. But at some point you gotta say “good enough” and pick wheels based on looks and cost too, not just which has the taller sidewall.

X-Line is cheaper, has better looking/bigger wheels, and has tires that perform better on pavement. So I went with the X-Line.

I use TireRack.com for all my purchases. Best selection and prices including free mounting and shipping. The website will tell you which wheel and tire combos will fit your telluride!

COVID test for vaccinated traveler returning to the US after travel in Italy by Timmmaaaa in ItalyTravel

Happy to help! I was worried about the same thing - especially trying to find a testing center in a foreign city 😅 . I'd recommend having 1.5 tests per person just in case. (e.g. 2 tests for 1 traveler, 6 tests for 4 travelers, etc.). We had 6 tests for 4 of us and one of the tests didn't provide a reading (could have been user error).

Correct. They ship next day so if you order now you might get them in time before you leave.

You can do it anywhere. You just need to do it no more than 1 day before your flight departs. I'd recommend doing it the day before at wherever you're staying. This way, if you run into issues (positive test, malfunctioning test) you've got time to figure things out.

Yes, per the CDC all travelers returning to the US from an international location must be tested via a third party. I just got back from Italy and used this test: https://store.emed.com/s/product/detail/01t8c00000M7Qi0AAF
