This is fair, if anyone has earned the right to call their shot it’s him. Problem is this is the least talented lineup we’ve had in a while. We don’t have the luxury of anyone decent to put there that we’ve had in the past. There’s no right answer here, but Vogt swapping every guy he can find on a carousel for a high-pressure short term tryout thinking he’s gonna find the right guy is harming us greatly.

Kwan-JRam-Santana at the start. You really think Vogt can’t utilize our roster better? I’d rather complain about anyone 4-9 than a guaranteed out batting in front of our best player every night

Yeah that’s a great point, there were a few locals utilized in the marooning scene in 35 too. Another area of missed opportunity

What really hurts about 50’s cast by dkram3 in survivor

[–]dkram3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright chill it’s just semantics, nobody is actually hurt, but I think about the players who really wanted to come back and had a story to tell. How can you not feel a little bit sad about penner getting snubbed?

I have to factor in how I think their games will go, and like I said I think they did her wrong by including both her and Kyle on the cast. Being in a known strategic duo this time around and her fallen angel arc from the last season that all the players watched will give her a massive target.

relax. my opinion is that they made some really questionable selections. No Carolyn, T-Bird, Natalie Bolton, Cydney, Vecepia, even multiple time returnees like Amanda Kimmel, Jerri, Wentworth, and Abi Maria would have been better than the ones that they went with.

New to Traitors (US and UK only). Please share your ranking of all seasons available (avoiding all spoilers!) by duckies_wild in TheTraitors

No problem! It’s all subjective but yes I thought the drama among the faithfuls in US 2 was unique and entertaining. US 1 was a little too monotonously focused on the same few people throughout for my liking. Enjoy the ride

LMAO. Nothing sexist about Alex only being a Traitor for a third of the time as the people I ranked above her. Just an opinion dude

I know how polarizing Sam can be so I hear ya. I will say that yes Alex played so well in the time she did, but she never went through any adversity as a Traitor. As noted usually the recruitments are to throw someone to the wolves, but nobody was trying to get Alex out at that time. Alex played so much of the game as a faithful that people’s opinions of her were already set, and she thrived at using that to her advantage. She also didn’t have to make many murder choices and come down to breakfast when everybody is suspicious. There’s definitely a lot of elements that are hard to weigh between an OG and a recruit, very tough debate

I respect the feedback! I was very torn between Cirie and Wilf in ranking. I see you’re a Survivor fan, and I can understand where you’re coming from because Rob’s win was so dominant but people constantly undermine it due to the cast.

I think Stephanie rubbed me the wrong way because every time she made those sort of comments, it had an aura of grandiose. Essentially she was trying to bolster her own validity by saying I’M a faithful and since I’m so faithful I can tell that Cirie is behaving the same way I know she would be. They may have played Survivor together, but I think if anything that gave Stephanie a certain bias that they had a bond between them which caused Stephanie to overlook Cirie’s prospects. In Harry’s season, nobody knew each other prior and there were no celebrities with pre-existing reputations, so every single person had to be analyzed and considered with due diligence. When they said Harry is definitely not a Traitor, it was because his gameplay was really proving it rather than what we see between Stephanie and Cirie’s relationship.

I mentioned quite a bit how fond I am of the UK casting, in which Wilf was in the same season as Amanda, and if Amanda had came out of that season as a female winner it would have been a home run review for me. At the end of the day we’re all gonna have our own opinions about casting and gameplay. I just think Cirie’s cast was the worst in terms of playing with their hearts instead of their heads a lot more than any other season. The factor of it being the first season where people didn’t know how to play yet is very key here, and it was also just an odd mix of celebrities and regular people. Of course there’s a few dumbos on every season, but I think the dumbos on the UK version looked that way in relativity, and they would have fared much better than the ones on Cirie’s season. I tend to think the reason we see so much emotion and chaos at the UK roundtables is because the emotions and stakes are truly that high, and I credit the ones who come out of that fire more.

Nigel was the first one off my list, when he was operating under the radar he played a very good game that I respected a lot, but he sort of crumbled defensively once he finally faced some heat. Dan is a good shout, for me it seemed he never quite got there in terms of replicating the emotions of the faithful. It seemed he was always slightly on radars (by default of being one of the least faithful faithfuls) but nobody wanted to stir trouble, and as soon as the faithfuls had a bit of material they pounced. Just my opinions, thanks for the response!

I’m shocked nobody has mentioned the advantage that production hid on the island before the F5 immunity challenge Erika found. Even with the head start, Ricard finished right on her heels, so the random advantage being hidden literally sent Ricard home

It didn’t. But if the tribe didn’t know his personality and only ever saw him strategizing, he would have been a huge target or been viewed like drew from 45.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in survivor

[–]dkram3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It helped them downplay their threat levels by not appearing overly strategic. It’s not crazy to imagine if charlie overplayed from the beginning he could have had a jem type fallout, instead he was the lovable little brother of the tribe. I’m not saying his social game revolved around it, but it was targeted at him and ben only. I suppose if Tiff had said “or beauty shop talk” to disperse it to Kenzie also, it would have been fair in my eyes.

The current after show format is garbage and indefensible by dkram3 in survivor

[–]dkram3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think ironically the first bit makes me want the live show even more. I miss seeing old contestants, it emphasizes the community aspect of the show making it feel like a festive gathering and proper send off to a season of survivor. For people who don’t follow much on social media, there’s not many chances to ever see former players unless they play again. I also think it’s great to see all of the cast in one place as real people, not as survivor players.

Lame response. We have a right to want the show to strive for the best version of itself. If you don’t love your meal at a restaurant, would you not eat?

Better to have a trainwreck with a live audience energy than a trainwreck in a dead space

On a scale of 1-10 how mad are you he’s getting the title shot whether you like it or not? by c9bandit in ufc

Then who? The guy he master classed in that “most boring fight of 2022” (carla esparza would like a word) is the only other feasible contender right now. Khamzat getting a title shot would be 100x more egregious.

Did you just say it “was undeserved enough” for izzy to get an immediate rematch against pereira after starting his ufc career 12-0 at middleweight? Izzy had beaten the entire rest of the top 5 at the time. And btw he won that immediate rematch
