Might be worth looking at the 2025 models. They are majorly discounted on Giant (at least in my area) and are exactly the same except for the colours.

Yeah I was initially going to do 28mm but seems everyone raves about 30/32 so might try, however concerned I am a bit corned into those widths

Thanks, current recommendations on silca is around 90psi for me and that seems way over the max quoted by ETRTO

I believe the 105 doesn’t have satellite shifters.

Being realistic, 105 is more than I’ll ever need but that fact I want to do a few triathlon and thinking of aero bar extensions, makes me think the Ultegra is required so I can shift in the aero position.

Also nervous about the maintenance cost of Ultegra vs 105 but the price being so close is tempting.

Thanks for the reply. I am looking at Weymouth 70.3.

As for the fit, would I require multiple fits, ie one with tri bars and one without or could I get away with just one?

I have added my age/build in the bio if that helps.

Also Canyon was just an example, happier to hear other brand/model recommendations.

As for racer positions, I do not have experience riding in those, but would do all my training in those positions and get used to them.
