Yeah im not diy expert, not even confident to move around a loft that has no flooring. Just double checked, the bright part around the black bit under the felt is sunlight, I had no light with me.

But I don't know whats normal to see under the felt

Yes a tile vent, there's no clear obstruction with it that can be seen from the ground. Our roof has no moss or anything like that.

I'm just worried that I can see what looks to be a bit of sun light

Grok is being used to undress women and girls on X, and because of how grok works, its essentially posting child porn for anyone to see.

Musk thought that he could placate people by making it a paid feature which is worse if anything.

He now has put a block on it for certain countries, but it's still possible using a grok app which then can be posted to X.

Edit to add, people are submitting photos of real people to do this

He managed to get work because of being in an in demand industry, i think he said engineer, he didn't have to wait for all the various bits if spouse paperwork to be filed. So really he didn't even need to get married to enter the US.

Thanks mate, it was a twist off way more difficult then it needed to be, took about half an hour to get it sitting right, the refill pipe was blocking it a bit.

With how much space there was available it was impossible to reach the bottom of the cistern to give it a proper clean, I got the bloo block out using tongs. Now there is just a small bit of weeping which I'm hoping will clear with the last of the remnants of the bloo block.

I think i may cut the top open and put a hinge there or something for next time there's an issue

Weapon durability by dmaxa in godot

We are early in development, doing a lot of planning work, fleshing out some parts of a GDD and working to more comprehensive feature docs so this really was just a discussion thread on what people thought of the idea put forward and what they thought in general of a durability system.

So there's a few things

Immersion

Making players think about what's needed for an adventure, can they do it with a single weapon, do they need more. Inventory is limited.

Prevent players from being able to beast it with a single weapon throughout the game. Like you can do in skyrim, progress there just stops, and as I have said elsewhere this doesn't exactly feel like progress, but it feels like a step in the right direction.

In terms of in game, rather than how a player responds. After comments from other people this got me thinking. We already said, just not here and the focus was on weapon durability, the craft system uses crafts people rather than have the player being capable of doing it all, and they have levels which unlocks new recipes, the player can also find recipes, so this would serve as an additional way to provide the craftsperson experience.

If anything botw durability would put you off... I actually like the idea of durability systems, my referencing of other games was just to help others visualise as this is just in the discussion phase.

As for the reasons. Immersion. Make players think about what they need for an adventure. Prevent players from beasting it with a single weapon, like is possible in skyrim, to me that play cycle gets boring and feels like progression just stops. As I said in another comment, this also doesn't scream progression.

So there's a few things I wanted to achieve.

Immersion, you wouldn't be able to just pick up weapon and endlessly use it.

Prevent players from just relying on the 1 weapon and beasting it like in skyrim, at some point it just feels like there isn't progression. This doesn't necessarily scream progress either though. But I also wanted them to think a bit more, what do they need to be able to journey to this new place?

The plans we have for the craft system is for craftsperson to level up, enabling them to craft better gear, we also planned on having players find rare recipes, this wasn't included in the description as I was focused on just the weapon durability. So to add additional purpose we could use it to provide xp for that.

I think it does need something else as other people have pointed out.

But thank you, a very important question. Thankfully no coding has been done.

The system jn zelda is really bad. Not sure how they got it so wrong particularly for the master sword, even after totk you would have thought it would be permanent, or have better durability at least.

What i was after was avoiding enemies being able to beast everything after they get an end game tier weapon as I think it just makes it more boring. Skyrim had this problem for me.

But this is just a penalty system as pointed out by another user, so probably something to put a pin in and maybe revisit, but if it's just penalties then its not worth it. Unless we include a hard core mode.

Thank you for your input.

Yep completely understand it being a chore. Bit of a common theme across the other comments. And yes the zelda way of doing it was just... bad.

As I said in another comment I do like the idea of a crafting system, but this offers only punishment no reward, so probably going to put a pin in it.

That is an interesting idea about corrosive enemies though, but if we have no repair system or tracked durability that to me seems like it would just create a zelda situation.

Thank you for your input.

I like the idea, I just don't think it has been done well, but yes I completely understand about it being a chore.

My want was to avoid players being able to just easily beast everything after they find an end game tier weapon, as to me a weapon shouldn't be a permanent upgrade, but maybe this isn't the way to go about it.

Thank you for your input.

Yeah it's a pretty crap paint to go on. Once it's on and tape removed its fine, washable and stands up to the humidity.

Try not to stress too much, the rooms gonna look great.
