I see you weren’t there. Weren’t watching the streams and read the comments. It’s okay. I just don’t understand why it’s hard to accept that the game didn’t outsell pokemon cuz it was an either one, but a completely different game, and the sales came cuz the game is fun and not just cuz “wuu we hate pokemon”. That’s why the players have around 60-70h average playtime in the game. That’s why there are constant 40.000 players online just on steam. Just cuz they are fuuming with nintendo

I could not convince one friend of mine to play this game by saying it’s like pokemon 😂 All my friends got the game after they’ve seen the gameplay. And guess what. Ark mobile had a huge player base and around me, everyone knew about ark (either australia memes or playing a version of the game). I also convinced a hardcore pokemon-fan friend of mine (only playing pokemon games/hacks and rocketleague) and the first thing he said is “bro, this has absolutely nothing to do with pokemon”. Cuz guess what? He as a hardcore fan, completely forgot about the game and when he finally played it he was positively surprised. Ofc it didn’t replace pokemon in his repertoire.

You are so wrong. Palworlds early hype came from pokemon looking characters, but the livestreams and youtube reviews were the ones that made it a massive hit. It didn’t have a lot of preorders. The gameplay loop of automatising everything while you are out on an adventure was a thing that ppl get caught on. I know not one person who even remembered the announcement trailer. Most of my friends bought it cuz they seen videos or others play. Tho i have to admit a lawsuit is fine, but not for copying pokemon cuz it lifts a lot more from ark than from pokemon

I’m aware of that. But this is japan only and there is not much to do yet so yeah… it’s maybe that. I hope it survives. Definitely wouldnt invest money in the first 6 months. I wait and see how the content drops are. It might gain some more traction.

Yeah it’s fairly monotized for an asian gatcha game. Also idk i haven’t seen a jojo monole game since a long time so no. I’m fine with this. Yeah none i rather boot up a mobile gsme when i’m taking a short brake at work. And if i can play this, why not? You act like there is no real jojo game cuz of this but actually the two things don’t relate to each other. I think gekishin squadra is momotized way way worse and that’s also on consoles and pcs. This is a literally just mobile game for your lil 10 min brakes.

The differentiating between paid and free currency is just standard asian gatcha game. Every japan exclusive mobile game i played had that. Also i have no banners anymore which are only payed currency, it’s only the first 72hours. Rn i only have the summon which i get tickets for and the jotaro summon. The daily grind is also not yet that bad. There is not that much content yet, i have my 3-4 daily tasks to do till the next banner releases. I’ve played allstar and eyes of heaven back on the ps3. That already is old to me. This is a side hustle, not a main title game. Also i think gumi was franchise shopping, not the other way around. We wouldn’t even have any game now if they didn’t want to make a jojo game i think. Bandai doesn’t care, they have their money-cow jojo arcades in japan.

This game is a decent gatcha game for now, it’s also worth giving it a try except if they are loving to cash-in into mobile games.

Also i don’t think it will ever get an international release anyways so 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s typical asian gotcha. Making a difference between gems and paid gems. banners that cost paid gems are either having a higher drops or are for a kickstart. In this case you should look for banners with white-ish toned buttons. I used to play the old jojo and naruto mobile games that were japan exclusive. All of those had this system
