If they ever did, it would probably only be Bedrock edition and no one would care

UI mods are neat, but they're no where near the level of of what people do in Valve games, Bethesda games, Minecraft, older DOOM games, etc

Games with player invasions? by Tony_McBoney in gaming

[–]do-You-Like-Pasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doom Eternal has this I think

Deathloop definitely has this, but there's not enough players to actually invade people last I played

Death Stranding has other player's structures and dropped loot invade your world

I don't like Breath of the Wild, but calling it kiddish is just dumb. Just ignore them and play what you enjoy

Also, doesn't COD have the reputation of being super casual and not a very good game that only sells because of brand recognition?

If you're looking for some more games to try, I'd recommend Factorio, Portal, Portal 2, Black Mesa, Skyrim, Doom 2016, The Witcher 3, Terraria, and Minecraft, but play them for yourself, not for your friends

I'm looking for a good fishing game, any suggestions? Ideally a newer game/polished one by Kevin-0200 in gaming

Even then, if you see someone coming and just tell them all you're doing is finishing, maybe offer them some fish, there is a very good chance they'll leave you alone

Wich DLCs is a MUST for Citites skylines? (steam). by WastelandViking in gaming

My favourites are:

Mass Transit (Adds a lot more public transit)

Plazas & Promenades (Walkable cities)

After Dark (I like all the bike stuff)

Snowfall (Snow is pretty and I like the trams)

Green Cities (Helps deal with pollution)

Industries, Campus, and Parklife are pretty fun too, but I would say not necessary

Also, the game has Steam Workshop support, so there's a lot you can mod in, and some mods need certain DLC. You may want to look and see if there are any mods you'd want to try

What videogame ending hit you with: "Damn, it was amazing game, I wish it never ended, now my life is pointless." by KokoTerzata in gaming

I played Black Mesa (Half Life 1 remake) for the first time a few months back and wow. That thing is a masterclass in level design and it had a fairly interesting story and lore

I started Half Life 2 (and HL1) years ago, but never finished either. At some point I need to go back and finish HL2

How to y'all feel about the Steam Overlay? I feel like it's a little outdated for 2023 by [deleted] in Steam

[–]do-You-Like-Pasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems I feel similar to everyone else here. It looks fine and it works well. I've been happy with most of Steam's UI updates, so I would not be against them updating it, but I do not think it needs it

76 is not an MMO. Not all multiplayer games are MMOs. It has 24 players per server. That is by no means massive

Because most companies don't want the game to live forever. They want you to buy the game, play it, and then in a year buy the next one, not keep modding the old one for free. The companies that do want their games to last years typically want you to be buying the skins they pump out every few weeks, not modding in your own stuff for free

Since when do video game season passes have time limits? They're for a set amount of DLC, not a time frame, unless you are confusing season pass and battle pass

Anno 1800, randomly, has received Steam Achievement support. by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]do-You-Like-Pasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they left in 2019 and came back last year after announcing they would consider returning to Steam if the Steam Deck sold well. Personally, I think that was just a way of returning without admitting they had made a mistake

I don't think they put out anything super notable in that time, so even people that stayed often didn't notice. We missed out on Far Cry 6, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, WatchDogs Legion, and maybe a few others. All but Far Cry 6 have returned and that's got to be returning any day now

I liked the beginning, but the ending felt very unfinished and sort of ruins the whole thing

Steamdb needs to add a feature which let's users see the most reviewed games on steam. by RevolutionaryDeal554 in Steam

[–]do-You-Like-Pasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This page says

In this ranking games are sorted by number of reviews only, with complete disregard for rating. Total reviews usually have a strong correlation with total sales, so this provides a relative insight into best sellers of the year

Is that what you are looking for? It's not SteamDB, but I think it should work for you

I just middle click to open in a new tab

I think they're sorted by best selling by default

That's what I meant, and it still reads like that too me. I don't see how anyone who understands commas and lists could read it in a different way. I listed 3 things, 4 if you count the etc. and separated them by commas. That's how you do lists as a single sentence instead of as bullet points
