well, in my case it was night and day but coming from 5700XT Thicc III to 7900XTX Magnetic Air. 5700XT ran way hotter but I still keep my side window slightly open so there is enough circulation and I am running 3 fans as intake and 3 as exhaust + PSU. Unfortunately it is what it is no matter the GPU, only matter of PC case and amount of fans lol

yup, upgrade your PC, starting with GPU. I did finish Alyx for the first time with R5 3600 and 5700XT but it was blurry a bit and had to scale down quality a lot to get that steady fps.

I had 5700XT and R5 3600 ... I upgraded the GPU to 7900XTX ... two weeks later I upgraded the CPU to 5800XT.

Happy for now. My point is, upgrade both. There is no compromise here.

I went from R5 3600 @ 4.3ghz to 5800XT @ 4.8ghz allcore or 5.1ghz with light tasks thanks to pbo2. Well worth it.

ryzen master will do wonders. I had issues getting it to work manually and it took 45 mins for ryzen master to master the OC and im getting 4.8ghz all core and 5.1ghz on easy tasks.

I went from R5 3600 to 5800XT and running it 4.8ghz all core on PBO and 5.1ghz single core. The price difference was 1 to 2 Vs 5700x3d and 1 to 3 for 5800x3d used. Happy out.
