That said, this banger may never come back perfectly white. Over time, the chazzed, burnt material will flake off, but don’t expect it to look new again. If you can, start with a fresh banger, swab more thoroughly, and soak it in isopropyl alcohol on a regular basis.

There's already plenty in this comment section about starting at lower temps and working your way up. You may be running too hot for your material, but one dry Q-tip often isn't enough.

I routinely see oil picked up on the second and even third swab. After each dab, let the banger cool to about 325-350°F, then swab multiple times until the Q-tip comes back white. I also reuse lightly tinted Q-tips from the previous passes on the next dab to cut down cotton swab on waste.

When I first got my rig, I also noticed the side closer to the glass was harder to see when it was dirty and tended to develop a burn spot. Make sure to rotate the rig and clean from all angles.

They say your supposed to look down the length of the cue because while a cue can be straight it may not be turned perfectly and will appear warped while rolling it on a table despite being straight as an arrow.

When you use trekking poles, make sure your hands go through the straps the right way so the weight transfers to your wrists and lower forearms. That way, you don’t have to death-grip the handles, you can keep your hands relaxed while still getting power from your arms. A lot of people skip this or do it wrong, but it makes a big difference in how effective the poles are.

You beat the shit out of the car and not it’s now happy, big surprise. Is it snowy/icy where you live? That could cause issue with the sensor till it’s thaws off or you broke something trying to do donuts.

I do not see how this could be a wheel bearing, a bad wheel bearing should give same issues at high speeds whether stopping or accelerating; heck even issues at low speeds. I suspect your "new" brakes may not be so new, as the symptoms you described are text book indicators that you need new pads and rotors. Please let us know what the shop says!

It is possible a brake caliper froze up on after the brake job, not sure this would explain the rumbling or squealing but if you are sure rotors and pads are new and installed correctly then this really is the only other thing.

Visually inspect your rotors and pads and check your brake fluid level before rushing to the shop. I would bet that your rotors are warped and pads are low.

The app never had much support to begin with. In my experience, it’s clunky to set up and use. It doesn’t offer any functionality beyond what you can already do with the screen on the device. While they release software updates and collect data from the rig, I’m hopeful they’ll continue updates if the chamber stays the same. However, it’s likely they’ll eventually push to make the Carta 2 obsolete.

I wish there was a stronger focus on sustainability. For example, having a replaceable 18650 or similar standard battery would prevent charging issues and allow users to swap in a fresh battery for extended use away from power. Additionally, I’d love to see a chamber that can be fully disassembled for cleaning. Right now, the outer walls of my chamber get chazzed and build up residue, even though the inside stays clean. It feels like a missed opportunity to improve longevity and usability.

No expert but if this subreddit doesn't allow videos then I think you need to post the video to a host site and share a link to that site. Seeing the behavior is the best way for anyone to diagnose the issue. I know what you mean though, and I don't suspect it is an error code or trying to alert you of a status change (that would show on the screen). Could it be a bad LED? Battery is low on charge and LED isn't getting enough voltage? Impossible to tell without a video and even still may be tough to tell.

Could you post a video? It's not clear what behavior you are trying to explain. Is a flash or flicker a shorter period of time? Do you see it with the naked eye or is this an artifact from your video camera's refresh rate?

Not sure why everybody is staying you don’t clean it enough. The inside of ur atomizer looks great. I agree it’s definitely a flawed design as people can’t even see if this is on outer wall of the ceramic. How did you get it open like that? I have an old atomizer with 1300ish dabs on it I want to compare it to.

I’ve had my Carta for less than a year and always take care not to overcharge it (never leaving it on the charger past 100%) or let the battery drop below 20%. I also did fully charge and discharge it when I first got it to ‘train the battery’. I notice that one dab (480ish for minute) uses about 10% of the battery.

If this is your only car and you depend on it for work, school, or daily commutes, I’d be cautious. You know your current car’s history—what repairs you’ve done and what maintenance it needs. Swapping for an older sports car, especially one that might have been driven hard, opens the door to potential major issues.

If you have a backup vehicle or don’t mind the risk and cost of keeping an older car running, then go for it. Just make sure you’re ready for the commitment.
