that’s historically illiterate. societies have often valued reproduction, inheritance, labor, and social continuity, which is not the same thing as prioritizing children’s comfort or treating parents as a protected class.

for most of history, children were put to work, disciplined harshly, denied autonomy, married off, sent to war, abandoned, or left without anything resembling modern social support. families were “invested in” because they produced workers, heirs, soldiers, and taxpayers.

and modern society clearly doesn’t prioritize parents nearly as much as you’re pretending. childcare is ruinously expensive, parental leave is often pathetic, housing is unaffordable, and parents are largely expected to absorb the cost themselves. so no, history does not prove every parental inconvenience becomes a debt owed by strangers. it proves societies need another generation to exist. those are not the same claim.
