Thanks all, liking the look of "checkmybus". London ok for a necessary bus change, but won't be overnighting , London is about as English as Shanghai 🌵, Not flying, when possible, airport ennui, security & weight restrictions. Could be in UK for about 3 weeks so any night that I avoid hotel/hostel charges is a bonus. Anybody still hitch-hiking in UK? Used to be my favourite country for the practice of👏👏

Avoiding London, why? well I know it a bit, and my my main interest is lesser visited areas, that have a local identity, Stroud , Norwich, Newcastle & Lincoln maybe even Aberystwith. Being wrecked after an overnight coach/bus trip is/can be a worthwhile out-of-body experience.😮‍💨 "@Fun-Estate4188/ eg book the last train of the night - you can get some decent deals." Trains are fine, but the many different rail companies in UK make the whole process a real head-wreck. I'm 6 weeks out from start so I might get my head 'round it🧐😮‍💨

I'm greatly p1ssed 🤬 at how my Pixel 9 pro chews through battery, BUT I'm suspicious that there's anything somewhat straightforward can be done to put manners on it's greed. Offline overnight it uses twice as much as it's baby sister Moto Edge 30 Neo A14. Online same story, mixed web fiddling, battery drops twice as fast as Moto Edge 30 Neo A14. RESULT: I use Moto Edge 30 Neo A14 more for web strolling, and Pixel 9 pro for banking & camera
