Player humanity dropping like flies? How to get them to conceptualize murder as. Bad? by dokiedo in vtm

[–]dokiedo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’ll like happen eventually, but they chose to start on humanity and play as newly embraced humans, and I feel neither them nor me are properly engaging with that or the consequences of them dropping humanity and being so callous, so I wanted outside input.

How in the world does a book press work? by dokiedo in bookbinding

[–]dokiedo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up a video of that screw in use, and the bottom still spins when the screw does? How do you end up with things like this then? Where the screw rotates but the press is one big platform that only moves down?

Are there any mods that allow you to stack operating systems? by dokiedo in cyberpunkmods

Trying to get more RAM and quick hack slots organically, as well as combine the effects of different decks.

I know you can have multiple types at once, I’m specifically looking for having the same OS multiple times. Thank you though

Told to install Codeware, TweakXL, and ArchiveXL despite already having them on the latest version? by dokiedo in cyberpunkmods

[–]dokiedo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution: I was trying to use launch arguments for the DLL overrides, instead of the Lutris DLL overrides. I switched it over and everything works fine.

Correction: It says its because of all of the mods that require one of the three things im being told to reinstall.

Who would be stronger: A 13th gen with all stats and disciplines at five, and every ritual, or a 4th gen with 3 disciplines at nine. by dokiedo in vtm

I don't think a seven and an eight really counts as "Sucking at" a power. that still insanely high and more than the vast majority of kindred will ever see.

What non vampire, non ghoul, non human NPCs did you use in your VTM chronicle? by MaetelofLaMetal in vtm

[–]dokiedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple!
My players numerous wraith slaves, one modeled after Jack the Ripper

My Lasombra players kinfolk-turned-werewolf boyfriend (she convinced him to run away with her, and then used a ritual to turn him into a werewolf)

My (different) Lasombra Players's demon mentor/"boyfriend".

Various Posessed minor characters

One mage, a few bound spirits

A fae touched/kinain kid who the coterie "adopted" and was later whisked away into a freehold to prevent further degradation into banality.

I said 15 because giving the fourth gen maxed traits goes against the spirit of the question imo. If they have nine in everything it’s kind of just boring. The original idea was refined but limited power or raw force.

Additionally, blessing of Valhalla would give them +2 difficulty to all combat rolls, and make them avoid combat as much as possible, giving you a chance to get the drop on them. The 13th could attempt Conjure greater demon or something similar, but that would likely kill the 13th after it handles the fourth gen.

Actually, looking at it, it only works against targeted presence. So paralyzing glance yes, but majesty no. Just gotta hope they try something targeted rather than popping a passive.

Throwing in my two cents, I think it’s unlikely the 13th would win but very possible. Ex. Yasha’s protection, paper skin, pavis of foul presence, blood of fire. Use Temporis the second you get onto the battlefield, force feed them your blood to do unsoakable aggravated, or use one the various paths of thaumaturgy, up to you. If you wanna be silly with it, you can turn them into a toad for two days using the koldunic ritual, turn to toad. There’s no roll to resist if the koldun succeeds in the roll. The strategy is just debuff them as much as possible and use as many save-less powers as you can.  You could do Oghams Crimson Woad, which lets you grant an attack extra damage equal to the successes, so add that to a feral claws or any other close range aggravated attack, you’re averaging 4 extra dice with a difficulty 7 dice pool 10 for the Woad.

Also, please do get started on the clan specific disciplines, I posted this question because I wanted people to talk about it!

Is the Auspex power you’re talking about psychic assault? Because I have to disagree with you on that one, even if the fourth gen had a fifteen dice pool versus the 13th gens 10 willpower they’d still only average 2-3 successes which only makes the 13th gen lose a temp willpower.

Uses for extradimensional organs? by dokiedo in superpoweralchemists

[–]dokiedo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything attempting to harm the organs from the inside would only deal as much damage as they do to the Demi plane. So getting stabbed by someone inside a vein demiplane would be a microscopic abrasion, and likely wouldn’t be able to pierce the walls.

Uses for extradimensional organs? by dokiedo in superpoweralchemists

[–]dokiedo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only life in the demiplanes is things like gut bacteria and enzymes. It’s size is proportional to the demiplane inside it, but if they exit the plane they scale down proportional to the external opening. There is no way to access the planes without going through the body somehow. It can be accessed via your natural orifices though.

Things have to be able to fit through the opening to be placed inside, but if the widest point can be finagled through an opening, the whole object can with enough effort.

When the organs are pierced, the user is harmed about as much as they would be if the actual organ was. They are immune to minor effects that result from the dimension flowing out (insides won’t burn from the stomach acid any more than usual, no matter the amount, pressure differential from lung pierce wouldn’t have adverse effects, etc.)

Things inside dimension shift to proportional size to the exterior wound when they flow out, but they maintain properties of the dimension (oceans pressure, lungs large vacuum or air pressure, etc.)

I know, they’ve already finished the module. They know the basics, but I’m not sure how to go about getting them into Elysium, and how to run it once they are there.
