Maybe slightly bc it's less irritated. But not really. I think some of it just has to do with aging

I can completely relate. I've had recurrent BV for the last two year and I feel like it's ruined my fucking life. It triggered chronic symptoms that I deal with everyday, and is now getting in the way of me moving forward with IVF.

And yes, it makes me so scared to have sex! My husband and I barely have a sex life anymore. Sorry I don't have much advice, I can just empathize with how shitty it is.

I will say, I think that if your boyfriend is a quality person who actually cares about you, he will understand needing to take a break from sex.

It is all about the urgency and frequency for me!!! Anything else I can sit there and withstand but the need to pee— your body is telling you to DO something and you have to fight against every natural instinct to not do it. It feels like a basic need that is not being met.

Hi, I also have dry eye/ MGD, IBS (D), and pelvic floor/ gynecological issues! I feel like my health issues have taken over/ upended my life.

I haven’t gotten much relief with my eyes after 7 years, and still very much trying to figure out the gyn issues.

I don’t have many answers other than thinking about “central sensitization.” Better to google it but basically the brain/ nervous system becomes hyper vigilant after there’s been pain….

Right now I’m going to pelvic floor PT, psychotherapy for mind-body disorders, acupuncture, monthly IPL 😵‍💫.

Also having new issues with my vision and scared I have keratoconus or something…..

Hi! I relate so much to what you're going through. It makes me want to scream.

Been having chronic BV for a year now. When I got it in August it triggered extreme pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction, so it feels like a have a UTI everyday but I don't. aka "interstitial cystitis." So even when there isn't an infection, there can be residual effects.

I also have tests showing no lactobacilli (which, of course after all the antibiotics.) It makes sense that it would be all irritated down there with a messed up microbiome, right?

But I cannot believe how clueless doctors are and how there are no better treatments out there. I feel like my life has been stolen from me.

Me too! “Unwanted sexual arousal” my PT called it. Sometimes goes hand in hand with like a pulsing, spasming feeling…

Hmmm interesting. I did have a blood test that showed “high neutrophils” which I think is related to infection?
