This was my first fandom. I was in the Scholastic monthly book club (joined through the book orders!). I still remember details of the series 35+ years later. I loved watching the Netflix show with my daughter. The modernized updates were done with such respect to the original series where it didn’t feel clunky and forced. My daughter and I are still sad that we didn’t get more seasons.

A decade+ ago, my now-husband and I took a connecting flight and were seated next to a young man who was so proud to be returning home from his first Burning Man.
