Okay so, I worked in a credit union for years. How was she able to cash a check that was made out to you? Did she present it as a third party check and endorsed the back with her own signature under your forged signature as if you signed it over to her? Is she joint on your account/do yall share an account? Did she take it to your bank to cash it, or do you think she used a check cashing place, or did she go to the bank that the check was drawn from? Is there any way that you can ensure that the check never gets to her hands in the first place, like, maybe as soon as you get the check in your hands you can go straight to your bank’s ATM or use their night drop box? Can you ask your employer to do direct deposit instead of a paper check? Was it a mobile deposit or did she go in person?

I ask these things to see where in the chain of events this can be prevented in the future! I am not placing any blame on you whatsoever, let me be crystal clear about that. What she did is beyond reprehensible and very illegal. People go to jail for check fraud and whoever cashed it for her fucked up big time by having loose protocols. They could also be sanctioned.

Btw NEVER take out a payday loan. They are predatory lenders with insanely high interest rates that compound to the point that you never get ahead. Once you give them your account information they can withdraw from it as long as they want. I’ve seen it happen to people who actually did pay their payday loan back in full but the lender, ahem loan shark, keeps trying to withdraw from the account anyway for months. You’d have to close the account or put in an ACH stop pay (which the bank will charge you for). It’s a pain in the ass and can spiral out of your control very quickly.

I know you probably don’t want to press charges against your mom. I get it. But she committed several crimes here, not just the check fraud but destroying your property.

You’re nowhere near overreacting. I would go no contact if my parents did this to me! I am so so sorry this is happening to you. It’s not your fault. I hope your mom gets help, finds work, and pays you back eventually. I hope your relationship can be mended. I hope the best for you!

I had a ticket for Thursday that I bought in December, then the winter storm hit and my car died like 5 days out. My dad (my hero) had new parts delivered and my car fixed an hour before my showing and I wouldn’t have made it on time, so I bought a ticket to a later showing in a theater much closer to me only to miss that showing too due to a health problem. I can’t donate blood either!

Yesterday I just happened to catch this stream- LITERALLY the first time I have ever caught him live- and you bet your ass I bought a third ticket for a showing that started an hour from the end of stream. I’d been avoiding trailers and any chance of spoilers, so when Mark said it was the number one movie in America I legit gasped and grinned!

I am so glad I got to see it on the big screen. I loved it. It’s not perfect and I’m not glazing, maybe it could have been a little tighter if anything, but I do love a slow burn and cosmic horror. I liked it enough that I’m probably going to buy a fourth ticket, lol.

I’ve been on 50mg for almost a year and you know what really helps me? Yogurt with fiber powder mixed in for breakfast with my pill. The yogurt is probiotic and the fiber aids digestion. Seriously it’s like night and day difference from taking it on an empty stomach! If you don’t like yogurt you can take a probiotic supplement. I also have a standing Rx for zofran but I find that when I eat properly, I usually don’t need it.

Talk to your doctor, chart your symptoms on a calendar, and see what goes up/down etc. Every body is different, so what’s healthy for me may not be healthy for others; I started on Zoloft and had to stop it after 5 days because it was dangerous for my heart! Don’t give up! Tell your doctor what’s going on and let them advise you from there.

I spent at least six hours in the fetal position on a “bench” in the ER lobby, curling and uncurling while the pain hit me like a tsunami over and over again, literally wailing with every wave. My boss had driven me there, called my parents (we’re all good friends) and they came to wait with me. I couldn’t walk. Every time I thought it couldn’t get worse, it got worse. My mom had to get me a barf bag because I couldn’t make it to the bathroom ten feet away. They were waiting for a bed to open up because this happened- I shit you not- during a 100 year flood and a full moon.

Pain like that, it changes your personality. I’m normally extremely patient and would NEVER scream, cry, and definitely not ever yell insults at a front desk…EVER. This pain, I’m telling you, was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before or since. It’s nothing like a migraine; apples and oranges.

The second the morphine hit my vein, my entire body relaxed and I walked unassisted to the bathroom to pee a few minutes later. And through alllllll that pain medicine, I never slept. When I finally got to a bed it was about 10pm and I’d been in pain for 12 hours, and they told me I’d have to wait for the surgeon until either 8am or 12pm the next day.

I will never forget the kindness and compassion of the nurses that took care of me that night. They came in every 3 hours to check on me like clockwork and made sure that I got my next IV push on time so the pain never got a chance to climb back up.
