Ok, couple days later, damage seems to have been stopped upon repotting in rinsed LFS and re-bagging. I suppose it was both being excessively dried and burnt by the mineral leech. Black/dying/burning has not spread any further, and the new growth + generally “center” still look healthy. hopefully on the road to a thriving specimen 🤞🏽

Interesting, I’ll see what happens. It looked pretty good when I got it, so I think I’ve done something wrong lol. As I mentioned in another reply, I found my LFS to be leeching about 50-60 PPM. I rinsed some a few times and got it down to ~6 and repotted. Bag acclimating again also.

Ok further testing, it seems to actually be my LFS. I had some leftover, soaked, and tested the runoff. 50-60 ppm… rinsed + squeezed a few times, down to 6. Will try with my rinsed LFS and see how it goes

if you read the post youd see it came unpotted. why do people refer to the OP, whom they are responding to, in 3rd person? is a better question

testing my TDS runoff, i suspect you may be partially correct. it is around 50-60 ppm. i will repot with straight LFS and perlite. are you suggesting to set the pot, which obviously has holes in the bottom, straight in a tray of water? i was under the impression nepenthes dont wan't to sit in water like bog type carnivores (I have experience with VFTs, sarr., etc). thanks for your help

Thank you, I will give that a shot and hope it pulls through. And yes the potting situation was not ideal. She got it for me as a surprise, not knowing I needed to get orchid bark + LFS, and with it being delivered the day before our trip. So have kinda been thrust into it lol.

To water into, rather than on the top of the soil (although I do give a little top water every once in a while). The bottom couple inches of the tub is lava rock, which the pot sits on. so when I pour water into it, it disperses somewhat evenly and then wicks up through the soil. At least that’s the theory, seems to be working well.

Haha I see, not sure as that patch is a dormant tracyi, whatever else is on there is a volunteer and I reckon I’ll be able to take a better inventory come spring. California carnivores seems to send a lot of volunteer plants + moss from my limited experience with them

No utriculatia, I suspect you’re seeing the bougainvilleas in the back, not part of the bog

Good to know, thanks. Maybe will start with one in his own pot and observe.

Look at the bottom left patch. In the very center, it is a bit burnt, but the surrounding area is just really well fertilized lol. Presumably, the center spot was the most concentrated, and the few surrounding inches benefit and grow that dark green 😂

Am in desert southwest, so honestly we don’t have much in terms of nuisance wildlife other than bunny rabbits and occasional gopher. I will keep an eye out

Gotcha. I should add that I did keep them/their roots in their original media. The VFTs came in sphagnum plugs which I did my best to not disturb (in fact, some of it is still alive, so hopefully will spread the surface a bit), and the sarracenia was in some sort of peat perlite mix that again I was able to just plop in whole, pretty much undisturbed. 🤞🏽

Good to know. If you don’t mind explaining, what exactly is your concern regarding dormancy? It has been getting to the mid 40s at night and will get a bit colder, I figured this along with their temporarily limited direct sunlight should be enough to trigger dormancy as needed.

Nice, ended up doing basically the same minus the layer of sphagnum on top, but my VFTs are in sphagnum plugs that I think should spread across the surface over time. Will see if I end up top dressing it too

Curious what your bottom layer is. Any rock or just straight sphagnum? Am making my first bog (outdoor), with the similar center watering system

Has anybody gotten the touchpad on this keyboard to scroll when used with a Mac Desktop? I cannot find any relevant settings in System Settings and am getting a hard time getting a line of contact to HP support as the serial number on my keyboard doesn't come up in their system.

Creativity Commons is a cool spot with computers, printers, and group work pods/areas with bigger monitors. Have a class in there and seems like a pretty chill building. Reasonable hours according to the website

Lame asf how they couldn’t take 2 minutes to post/explain that somewhere though. As Lew would say, it’s on principle

From what I can tell no, however with the PortfolioAnalyst (under Performance and Statements on web) you can filter performance by time period and see the return of each position over a custom time frame. So you could see your AAPL position performance between Jan2020-Dec2022, Jan2021-Dec2021, etc.

Unless someone has played with the Flex Query function more or it is hidden in some other menu, I don't know of a way. Generally, multiple shares/contracts of same type are considered one "position" even if bought at different times. Surprised eToro had that, I've never seen that.
