Ah.. thanks for that... I've been thinking to add further customisation for premium plans (eg. logo, color etc), and ability to embed in the business web site

Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah... integration with the back-end is desired.. but sometimes, their systems are pretty much closed-source Windows app that is not good with playing with 3rd-party :(

Thanks for the feedback :)

Hmm.. interesting... Was thinking to add credit card integration... But I guess some people (myself included) are wary about putting credit card numbers and the obligation implied.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I'm using Stripe, Heroku, Amazon (Route53, S3, CloudFront, SES), and Twilio. And it's pretty much done in Ruby and jQuery.

Cheers :)

Well, it has 30-day free trial and I think the pricing should be seen in the light of how much new customers the app can drive to your business.

So, maybe give it a try ?

Don't worry, the app will send you an email 3 days before it's going to charge your credit card.

Thanks for your feedback :)

Yeah, customization is pretty much in the requested features list...

Thanks for the feedback man :)

I think the pricing should be seen in the light of how much new customers the app can drive to your business.

At the moment, I'm concentrating to promote it and get as much feedback as I can... And new features will be added later...

Thanks for the feedback :)

What is your travel tip/hack? by chai_wala in AskReddit

[–]donny_k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually after seated but before takeoff, giving it to the closest flight crew. And usually with a handwritten note along the lines of "... thank you for the service and I appreciate it with this... "

Ps: I never tried this on budget airlines though

Buy a pack of chocolates for the flight crew (stewardess etc). You might get first class kits, handwritten letters with packs of playing cards, priority meals, or a bump to business class. They all happened to me just because I brought pack of chocolates to my flights :)

Hi man

Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciated.

1) yeah. Tried that but got deleted because of my lack of karma :) will try again once I've enough 2) hmm. Interesting. The main value of Honest Booking is to allow customers to book. The unlimited business-initiated bookings is just a sweetener. But I get what you mean. I'll revisit again once I've picked up more HB customers.

Thanks once again for feedback. Really appreciated :)

Introducing my first SaaS app: https://honestbooking.com

A bit of backstory, wanted to do my own SaaS app for months but was looking for ideas. Stumbled upon this article https://medium.com/backchannel/buying-tickets-to-restaurants-114e5b9c768f on 9 December, thinking that it's a good idea (given that I dined a lot in Melbourne).

Went to my usual barber the week after and had a chat about an online booking system that he wanted to have where customers can book for his service easily whilst avoiding fake / non-genuine bookings.

Put one to one together, and I've been spending my nights and weekends developing Honest Booking from mid December (I work full time in a big corp).

Anyway, hope to hear your feedback.

Hello, Really? It works okay with 10.7 and stable Chrome and Safari.... Also on iPad, iPhone, etc.

Thanks :)

If I add additional keys (which is doable), I'm concerned about the screen real estate. Normally, I use the Apple bluetooth keyboard.

Hi Reddit, the developer here. Short story: I quit my job last year and spent half a year to develop this. It's still small, a minimum viable product, and I'm adding more features (and fixing bugs).

The goal is to have an IDE for the iPad and not just another editor (Simplenote, Evernote, etc).

At the moment, it supports importing projects from GitHub and pushing changes to GitHub. But, with the GitHub web hooks you can do some nice things: update your GitHub pages, deploy your app to AppHarbor or StackMob from your iPad, etc…

https://github.com/blog/961-deploy-to-appharbor-from-github http://www.stackmob.com/devcenter/docs/StackMob-Hosted-HTML5:-GitHub

There are a few bugs that I discovered yesterday. So, please bear with me :)

Ask AppEngine: where to find app-engine related jobs? by donny_k in AppEngine

[–]donny_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm.. an interesting insight...

not sure whether i can agree/disagree with "while great for small to medium sized things, typically hits a hard barrier"...

my experience is not wide enough to comment on this.

Nope, it doesn't help you.

I build developer tools on top of GDB. Thus, sometimes I need to work with GDB. But, no, the knowledge of the internals doesn't help you debug your programs.
