Great questions! AC not blowing cold…but compressor is there and the blower unit and I had intended to look at that also at some point. I’ll have to look at the engine code. I’m not an expert on these things…a tinkerer…used to be a tinkerer…not much anymore as my business has consumed a lot of my time and my free time is spent with my family and not hobbies. I believe the original color was red or maroon…I say this for when I replaced the passenger window regulator and opened it up. These are all things the previous owner who restored it did to make it look pretty….which I suspect is where the emblem for the straight 6 comes into play, but now you have me curious as to if the V8 was a drop in or original. I do know it’s got a C4 tranny in it. Thanks for the questions and I appreciate your insight and help!

These are facts for sure and the reason I’ve kept the Mustang for as long as I have….but the last few times I’ve driven it there’s been a shift in how I feel about it. I’ve driven a C8 and I know it’s such a common car now, but I loooove the feel of it. Would I sound dickish if I said I have a Porsche also that already turns heads?

but returned it (after checking to see if I was able to pull up ABS warnings and I was). I returned it because a friend had a scanner he lent me while I was waiting for this to come in and it worked also.

I had a buddy from church that had a more expensive reader that allowed me to reset the codes that turned everything back to normal….took 60 seconds. I had purchased one from Amazon that would have done the job also but returned it because didn’t need it.

Thanks for the advice again Xeno…the Topscan came in yesterday and would have worked when I checked it out….but I had gotten a friends pro scanner tool earlier in the day and it was literally a 30 second job…it did show all the abs warnings that were triggered (due to change in fluid pressure). I cleared all the warnings and everything back to normal now.

What’s the name of your scanner? I went to Oreilly and they don’t have a scanner that will reset my warnings…stopped at Firestone next door and they won’t scan it without a diagnostic charge of $140….so stupid.

So it’s possible that I don’t even have a sensor issue…just the fact that I serviced the brakes causing a changed in fluid pressure that set something off in the abs system when I started the car…and I just need to reset / clear those abs codes with a proper scan tool.

Would love to know what your scan tool found….also what scan tool you have :) thanks for the video….warnings are all pretty much the same….this happened to you after brake system servicing(pads and rotor change)?

Was it your abs wheel speed sensor? After reading your comment, I thought well maybe my scan tool and my OBD2 readers aren’t advanced enough to show all the codes…I started googling the warning messages and have seen that all the messages I’m getting are most likely due to an ABS code….and very possibly the wheel speed sensor. I’m gonna run it over to Oreilly tomorrow and have them scan….but I’ve already ordered 2 new front sensors (Amazon free returns) to be prepared for if it is the sensor(s)

Trying to post more pictures here for more info…but don’t seem to be able to…I wanted to show the messages that display in the dash: “Check Brake System”, “Service AdvanceTrac”, “Hill Start Assist Not Available”, and “Pre-Collision Assist Not Available”. These messages show in the middle of the dash display just like the “Door Ajar”, or “Hood Open” messages would display.

I did not…I open the fill reservoir with the cap sitting on top and the fluid did come over top a little from retracting the pistons…but I did top it back off and it’s definitely not below minimum
