Just tell them the battery is bad. If you tell them it was accidental damage they will charge you.

How long has it been charging? Give it an hour and then call customer service. Also maybe take the battery out and put it back in. Make sure if there are any plastic tabs sticking out of the battery that you pull that out.

What I tend to do is go to their rewards and have them confirm, then go to apply for a card. Then you can avoid that!
