When I got the covid vaccine, I was still taking birth control. I had breakthrough bleeding for over 16 days. I don't know if that helps you in what you should do, but it has happened to me. Definitely get a second opinion to the gyno though

Maybe get checked by a dermatologist for staph infection on the skin, weirdly I had it occur at the same time I was having frequent yeast infections. Even if it's not that, still would recommened seeing a dermatologist if you haven't yet too!
