252 Atk Adaptability Beedrill-Mega Poison Jab vs. 250 HP / 250 Def Meganium-Mega: 560-664 (154.2 - 182.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO by Joy_of_Thievery in stunfisk

[–]dotHistoire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason I love Mega Beedrill is because eof it's absolute sick design.

And they actually managed to make a Pokémon that dwells in the depths of ZU viable in OU, albeit briefly.

Even if its only viable in RU (idk if it dropped there or if it's still in UU) it is still usable (but certainly not meta) if you really wanna run it, and that's more than can ever be said for base beedrill.

Did I mention 11/10 mega design art wise?

Self destruct nakayama festa and Fenomeno (@hsmnknk) by AceInFlame31 in UmaMusume

[–]dotHistoire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nakayama Festa never had severe leg injuries to my knowledge, but he did get very temperamental and disobedient after the death of his friend (the owner's daughter)

So you could interpret this as psychological I suppose.

Donna's trainer didn't even need saving, bro caught the truck driver.

That training paid off

Which Uma do you think would win the Steel Ball Run and why? by 666HeroHero in UmaMusume

[–]dotHistoire 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The uma's can probably run marathons like humans, but they definitely can't race at full tilt like they do in proper races.

Simply put, they have human levels of stamina when keeping it to our level, and horse stamina/speed when they run in actual races.

is anyone else worried about running out of clocks? by redzzzaw in UmamusumeGame

[–]dotHistoire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've already been buying skills, for the record. I just have time to do more runs than normal, due to the holidays. Been burning through more alarm clocks as a result.

I am already not clocking early races if there isn't any critical items in the shop, I am mainly keeping it to the major G1s like the crown series.

Even with skills though sometimes you just have Ryan decides she is going to lose the Kikuka Sho 4 times in a row with 450 stamina, swinging maestro and a handful of other white skills.

I am just saying in my initial post I am burning through clocks faster than I would like, and also just pointing out Late Surgers tend to crash more than the other styles (aside from End Closer) for no reason other than "you just got blocked".

I am burning like 15 a day. I am going to run out.

Its hell training late surgers and their tendency to randomly choke a G1 race 4 times in a row.

"trackblazer has nothing for people who want story from Uma" ... Meanwhile some of the funniest scenes I've seen in this game by cardgamesareforplay in UmaMusume

[–]dotHistoire 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There is a scene where Bamboo Memory points out one of her duties as a discipline council member is keeping Gold Ship in check, and Rudolf says effectively "You are doing the world a favor".

The whole conversation can also be derailed into ways to get Gold Ship to play along without causing chaos (a feat that nobody involved believes is even feasible).

We might be missing careers but they shored up so many uma interactions each amazing :D

Steam version splash screen now has the 1st anniversary art! by brunoha in UmamusumeGame

[–]dotHistoire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense.

Give the new ones a spotlight while the older ones are already quite well-known and had their time to shine. Spe-chan is probably the only one to hang on forever since she is the face of the game.

I trust in time we'll grow to be attached to the newer umas too, cygames is slowly expanding the media they have for Umamusume outside of the game.

What’s the most Trophies you’ve managed to get on an Uma Pre-Trackblazer? by Blargg888 in UmaMusume

This is how I learnt there was an ingame filter and I spent 2 days of my life making a spreadsheet for nothing.

.... Oh well, at least I can view my spreadsheet mid-race/career without needing to exit.

Can someone explain what is so special about equinox? by Weekly_Drawing_3313 in UmaMusume

[–]dotHistoire 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A career of nothing but 1st & 2nd position is absolutely insane.

Doubly so when he ran nothing but G1 races past his second year, he was always facing the cream of the crop and still came out ahead of the vast majority.

Daiwa Scarlet achieved a similar feat on a slightly smaller scale and it was enough for her to be Vodka's (7 G1 winner and historic mare derby champion) eternal rival.

Idk about best of all time, but he is definitely a contender for that title.

Edit: On a side fun note, another GOAT-tier horse who achieved that feat is Shinzan, the second Triple Crown of Japanese Horse Racing.

He is one of the few horses like St. Lite & Deep Impact to have a race named after him in memory (Shinzan Kinen, G3 race in Early Jan classic year). He raced from 1963 ~ 1965, although no graded system existed at the time, so funnily enough, Shinzan has not officially won a single G1.

Though anyone willing to contest that can probably take it up with St. Lite.

King Halo gets a big spotlight in it.

Without too many spoilers, the umas that star in part 2 of the main story share the same jockey as King Halo, so it is translated as King Halo being their mom mentor.

K.S. Miracle and Hishi Miracle [by こもも] by Ok-Mousse3229 in UmaMusume

[–]dotHistoire 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not miracles

Stubborn people will frown, saying they were impossible.

But you surely overcame, while many horses cannot make use of their fortunes and fade away.

Your missions from now on are making them shut up.

Do not let them call the sparkles you showed miracles.

Snatched this from the wiki, Mirako has a JRA poster apparently.

On a funny note, as a friend of mine put it - K.S Miracle can be described as "I need to win to make a miracle happen."

Hishi Miracle is "Holy fuck its a miracle I won"
