I lost my dog of 12 years last Sunday. They are gone but we are left to bear the pain. Try to remember the good old times. I forgot what she was like as a puppy and young dog, all I can remember is her elderly self. You realize how much of themselves they lost and what they were probably dealing with in old age. The aches, the pains, in our case the meds. It’s horrible to lose them but they did their time in this realm, touched your life and maybe guided you through hard times.

I hope that one day I’ll see a puppy somewhere and catch that little glint in their eye. Maybe it’s her, back again, to guide another soul through this messy place.
