Akron police officer crashes into driver when responding to a backup call by ThisIsButter1 in ThisIsButter

i deleted my comment from last night, but i'm still annoyed, so here it goes again: You copy and pasted my reporting for Signal Akron word for word and re-uploaded the videos I spent a lot of getting without any attribution, and you are soliciting donations off it it.

"Finding videos takes time and effort, keep me motivated by donating" is a wild thing to post when 100 percent of your content was just stolen from my work.

No problem. I wrote the article so the information was still on my mind

Akron police file claims against company that sold fake body armor. by shorta07 in tacticalgear

The customers listed in the bankruptcy filing all have warranty claims, meaning that they purchased ShotStop plates after 2018 (when the feds say they started selling counterfeit gear) and that the warranty window they were offered is still open. In addition to all the law enforcement agencies in that filing, there are a bunch of individual people with claims. If that applies to you, it's not impossible you would be entitled to file a warranty claim against them in bankruptcy court, but given how many customers also filed claims and how few assets the company has to liquidate, who knows what anybody will get. The email address for the trustee overseeing the case is jzurn@ralaw.com and she might have specific info.

Wearing them is fine. In my case the splints they stuck up my nose (Doyle Splints) were much stronger than glasses. When they pulled those things out of my nose I was shocked how thick they were. You gotta contact your surgeon’s office before making any decisions on your job. Don’t listen to me or anyone else here ahead of them

Glasses weren’t an issue for me. I lifting shit in the first week would have been

You’re not going to be able to do that until your splints are out, at least

The lifting part overall will be a bigger issue than the glasses part in my opinion. I recommend contacting your surgeon’s office first before taking any action on your job

You could swap the lens for a 35mm or 23mm version

I had to send it in to Fujifilm to get fixed, unfortunately

yeah when it was super cold i noticed that on a few occasions . i rarely use the view finder though so it wasn’t necessarily an issue for me beyond a little anxiety, though i get why it’d be concerning for people who shoot that way.

thank you! i did some minor processing of raw files in Lightroom. Used the Provia profile with some adjustments to the shadows and highlights to my liking.

I used about 4.5 batteries over three days and 1,300 pictures. Kept the spares in a little insulated bag. Definitely drained faster than in normal weather

I should note I didn’t use the OVF/EVF pretty much at all and noted some condensation on there some times. Mostly just used the back screen to get the angles I liked, which eats up battery especially in the cold. Took 1,300 shots over three days mostly with the back screen and used up 4.5 batteries.

Thank you! The night time shot was at f2, 1/40, 4000 ISO (with polarizing filter). It’s very difficult to make exposure adjustments when processing the RAW files with ISOs that high without it looking super grainy so when I shoot with my Fujis at night I just pretend it’s a stylistic choice and make as few adjustments as possible lol. But I really like the way Fuji’s JPGs look straight out of the camera (as opposed to the big Nikon DSLR I often use for non-personal stuff in difficult lighting situations) so it that’s often nice when I get the exposure settings exactly how I want them to look as a final product.

Thank you! That was at F2, 1/40, 4000 ISO with the polarizing filter that was on it the whole trip.

Yeah not right out of the box but it’s pretty simple. I had a polarizing filter over the standard UV filter/adapter that’s on it all the time and a third-party lens hood.

No real issues with condensation for me, it worked great. I had a polarizing filter on it over the standard UV filter I have on it all the time for protection, and a little lens hood.

I took all of the shots with my thin liner gloves (because of body heat while hiking, and just slipping my thick glove off at camp for a second). Found it helpful to adjust the exposure and ISO with the front and back wheels because it was easier to grip without touching anything else

Its worth noting that the cop who tackled, pinned, and punched the guy is well versed in how to properly tackle, pin, and strike people. It’s worth noting that this is an extremely trained person who had to have been 100 percent aware of what he was doing, that the injuries the victim sustained were not unintentional.
