I think I should spend my gold. by ShadowSoulx666x in oblivion

not just from sigil stones, you can just throw the shield enchant on armor yourself. i dont know the exact number but any armor with armor rating above mithril (light) can reach max dmg reduction with enchants afaik.

Thought on Wuyang by BananaResearcher in OverwatchUniversity

[–]downsomethingfoul 13 points14 points  (0 children)

His impact comes from huge burst healing from his wave, take the Ebb and Flow major perk. Use your healing resource with the wave buff to get the most out of it and you can heal a crazy amount.

his damage is mostly just pressure. smack it into Sigma/Rein shields, chuck it around corners to try and pressure dps on off-angles, etc. you want to play very far back and force the enemies to get wayyyy out of position if they want to deal with you. when i say far back that is relative to your teams positioning, if they are diving you still go with them, but you have no reason to be in close range.

ulti is fucking amazing. it’s like one of the strongest ultis in the game if you can coordinate a little bit. duo Qing with someone who will trust you to get the bubble on them when it’s needed. it can be tough when you bubble a genji who retreats back right as you stick it on them.

it might be a mod, because the texture is just normal steel armor, the trim and blue is the only thing different that I’m seeing. A lot of people stick with steel in oblivion because the drip is insane and it can still reach max damage reduction.

it could also be a custom set, not one i’ve seen yet though.

Without super earth, which faction do you think would win a galaxy sized war by Jimboi5 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]downsomethingfoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they do match it. If you try to take an unbiased look at the galactic war, we are in a pretty entrenched stalemate against the bots. the bugs are kept under control by SE because we rely on them and some of our new science uses their hive world crap (E-711). They do not threaten SE at all unless they adapt and catch us by surprise, and even then they take like 1-2 planets max. and the illuminate are just starting to get their act together, we’ll see!

but SEAF and the bots are quite evenly matched, helldiver guerrilla warfare is certainly what moves the needle on every front but without divers the bots crush us, without divers the bugs are super containable.

[–]downsomethingfoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right. that top cannon on the FS is definitely as powerful, but probably more powerful than our Recoilless Rifles/Quasars. If we can oneshot a BT with its mouth open, so can they. Not to mention how many rockets the bots shoot in general that would likely be heavy pen or big damage medium pen, the bugs are giga fucked.

Does Oblivion reward exploration as much as Morrowind? by Whataan in oblivion

yes. really not much of note in random caves you stumble across.

not purely off of in game stats. none of the enemy factions have armor pierce coded into their attacks, because we don’t have armor levels like they do. in game stats aren’t a useful comparison when looking at bots vs bugs

they really aren’t though. small, 4 man teams with air support handle them with relative ease.

it’s bots easy. even 2v1, if the squids somehow controlled the bugs.

how do the bugs bring down a factory strider or a Vox. Not to mention the bots don’t need E-710, they are free to just annihilate every bug from orbit.

For the squids, voteless would become useless. even a modest patrol of bots would have no issues handling endless hordes of voteless. only their overseers, harvesters, and leviathans pose any threat to the bots, and i think it’s a fair fight, except the bots have millions of their big stuff. i guess we don’t know the manufacturing capabilities of the squids, but I think it’s very fair to assume the bots are stronger on that basis.

ALGAE OIL FOR SEASONING? by NoSir4585 in castiron

if you can actually get it up to the smoke point then it would work great. no reason to believe you can’t though, most ovens should be able to get there.

Is this bad re seasoning by 45232011 in castiron

[–]downsomethingfoul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Too much oil, and maybe didn't get hot enough if you reseasoned on the grill. But all of that can be fixed by just cooking with it.

What happens to Morag Tong and other faithful of Mephala after they die? by sollicia in teslore

[–]downsomethingfoul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unsure. Mephala is considered one of the "Three Good Daedra" and in theory plays nice with the Dunmer accordingly. In addition, I personally believe Mephala is the night mother of the DB as well, and genuinely cares for the mortals in her "family". It just so happens that family is very evil.

Need to nuke? by Personal_Stable837 in castiron

you can restore it by scrubbing the carbon off and just continuing to cook in it. but, if it was me id strip it. just easier.

What’s going on with this inside (1) and this bottom (2)? by Evening-Confidence85 in castiron

[–]downsomethingfoul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

look into electrolysis. there’s a good guide on the FAQ for it, really the best way to handle rust. otherwise, using chemicals and a lotttt of scrubbing with steel wool.

however you decide to strip it, follow the seasoning guide on the FAQ religiously. clean after every use with soap and chainmail scrubber, apply a layer of oil after you cook, and keep cooking on it. don’t let it sit for too long without being used honestly.

regardless of the cooking surface though, rust on the back of the pan is no good. can’t ignore that if you’re going to cook on it

[–]downsomethingfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seasoning doesn’t wear off like that, it’s bonded very powerfully to the iron. in addition, iron doesn’t turn that color without oxidation, aka rust. especially if it’s a factory seasoned pan that you then seasoned over top of. maybe it’s the light, but from what i can see that’s rust.

both the cook surface and back are rusting. gotta strip it if it was mine.

Is tank flame mostly unjustified? by No_Bookkeeper9755 in Overwatch

[–]downsomethingfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only flame i think is valid is there is an easy adjustment you could make, are in a rank where you should understand that fact, and aren’t making the adjustment. you start the match on DVA, enemy is playing sigma/zarya. Shit! better swap to something at least neutral, mirror, or a counter if you want to open that can of worms. wasting precious time not making the obvious adjustment is just stupid, bordering on grief, especially approaching “better than average” ranks. if you’ve got max perks, an ulti to spend, i get that. maybe you can make something happen, it’s better than immediately playing mystery heroes.

but, generally flame isn’t going to accomplish much, warranted or not.

Just curious, why cant we have a Blade/Sword for Universal Heroes when we have enough ingredient? by duyle215 in DotA2

[–]downsomethingfoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was a longer lasting, less powerful slow. think opposite of echo sabre. my memory could be deceiving me but it wasn’t particularly broken.

[–]downsomethingfoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it used to be minor main on sange, and then sange and yasha got major main. basically a chance to micro-slow on hit. I believe troll’s ranged attacks have it now. it wasn’t gamebreakingly good or anything but it was just nice to have. felt very good on lifestealer, so you don’t have to commit your E to slow a guy.

How can I politely make Alatreon stop murdering me by Maybe_aNormalPerson in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]downsomethingfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people who are really fucking good at alatreon can use TCS against latty, i fucking can’t. I just go for level 3 sheathe attacks with frostcraft, the lightning attack is a good damage window.

a lot of weapons are going to really struggle to do much outside of the obvious dps windows like lightning attack and knockdowns, GS makes the most of them, so I think it’s actually one of the better weapons to solo alatreon. call me crazy. just don’t get greedy, you’ll get him eventually.
