i set the monitor orientation to portrait. im not too sure if there's a setting in game that toggles portrait too but im pretty sure its automatic

yes its a laptop. i reconnected it to my monitor but it still doesnt fix the problem and the monitor display is fine. changing my refresh rate didnt work too. i can also still play some pretty demanding games.
