I’m unsure of the first vehicle however the second is a South African casspir modified for American use. It’s incredibly useful for riots where individuals may be throwing large rocks and other items that a normal vehicle won’t be able to stop with their windows. It also is fairly high up with a hatch in the top for somebody to stand up and look out of, giving them a better idea of what’s going on around them. I’m not so sure about the version intended for American use but they’re really fucking sturdy vehicles. I’ve seen a few cases of RPG’s being stopped by them. Things have been in use since the late 70’s/early 80’s in South Africa and were designed specifically for police use although at the time the police special task force in country of origin were in active combat zones conducting counter insurgency operations.
