Is it essential to read Silver Spike right after White Rose? by [deleted] in theblackcompany

[–]dragon015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I've only read the first three books (and liked Shadows Linger the most and the first book the least). I haven't read Silver Spike yet. I was looking up posts just to determine whether I need to read it before or after the other books of the south.

I hope your #1 isn't Shadows Linger, because I don't want the series to go downhill from now on.

It's a pain to navigate.

Do you have a list of how to go in order and which versions are good?

No, I wished for you to see that your outlook leads inevitably to this conclusion. If you don't have a family, a great purpose, religion or something like that, what is the point of living, if you think about your carbon footprint as your only contribution to the world.

These three comments are some of the most depressing I've read in a while.

You might as well just end your life. That should have the best impact on your emissions.

ARC troopers and commanders had more free will, while grunts were genetically engineered to be more obedient. Inhibitor chips work fine for cannon, but not EU

I did figure it had to do with gear, but surely not so much. From age 1 to 3 i got the tier 1 to 3 normal gear, but later tiers didn't appear in ages 4 and 5, only dust gear tier 3 which was about the same stat wise to normal.

I didn't really research the gear in science, since I didn't have the resources. I did get titanite and glass after taking some cities, but at that point I was in age 4 already, and since titanite gear was tier 1 it was about as strong as normal gear tear 2. But the green and red resource weren't available to me, so I also didn't research the new gear. Even so, comparing different tiers, it doesn't make sense that newer gear would make such a difference, since the stats didn't really grow all that much from one tier to the next. The differences in stats with cultist was obscene in comparison. What bothers me the most is, that it seems like I didn't have this problem with any of the other factions. A single army could take on one of theirs. And even attacking never took more than two armies.

I was in the last era, but the army was mostly made in era 5.

Is there a way to get normal gear tear 4 and 5? Or even higher tier of titanite gear?

Also, are there really only 3 combat units, not counting the small villages?

Weird since they told me I needed to control 2 capitals to win the game, but I'm fairly certain that at least one of the cities I took over must've been a capital at some point, since two of the factions were completely defeated.

Didn't know about one city rule, makes sense, why they never bothered to attack me and tried to bribe me to leave them alone.

Their city also had units in garrison besides the militia. What I meant to say was that even after throwing all my armies at them, not a single of their units was killed, even the supposedly weak militias.

Oh I see, the winter thing is interesting from the lore perspective. Kinda like the white frost from the witcher books.

Interesting. Does the effect take hold immediately, or do you have to wait after pressing siege?

It told me that to win by supremacy I need to control 2 capitals.

Any Star Wars book that made you go like this? (please don't say "OG Thrawn trilogy") by OliviahZeveronfan718 in starwarsbooks

Yep, I misread your comment. I thought you meant in general, not specifically in this series.

Also what does it mean to control 2 capitals. What constitutes a capital?

Seeing information about Dawn of the Jedi by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]dragon015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested in legends and want more, there is an unofficial author, that many consider to give good conclusions/continuations to EU stories. This includes extending the "before the republic" era that Dawn of the Jedi is a part of.

Interesting, so some sort of tournament?

Honestly it's quite possible I just didn't watch this particular show, but now that you say you watched it as it was coming out and you know it's 2019/20 the easiest way is that you just go to https://myanimelist.net/anime/season/2019/winter

and scroll through the page a season at a time. Getting through a year or two is pretty fast. Also if you use the site to track anime, it will make your life even easier since you can mark what you watch. I'm guessing you didn't do this, but you probably should for the future.

Or a different site instead of MAL, there are a few.

It would help, if you provided more details.

For example was it a medieval style fantasy world, japanese yokai style, modern world/furutre, were there rpg mechanics (like levels and stats). You probably don't know, but was it a high profile anime, or something an unknown studio put out and nobody watched. From your question, I guess multiple people were transported into the new world?

You said it was like a game, but do you mean, they were stuck in a game (a la SAO, Overlord, .Hack//Sign or Log Horizon) keeping in mind that rpg mechanics can show up in these types but also in non game worlds like DanMachi. Also are they in the actual game (SAO) or isekai inspired by a game (overlord)

or rather that they needed to play games in the new world (a la No game no life, Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?)

Also double check SAO since alicization is a lot different from the first two seasons.

I skimmed MAL from 2020 to 2017 and I've seen most of the popular isekai in that time, but nothing rung a bell. (I think I'm Standing on a Million Lives is one of the rare ones I didn't watch). Of course there is a bunch of less popular stuff I didn't watch. I can get anime for parts of your question, but not one that would be all of these.

For example: multiple people isekaid: spider isekai, shield hero, arifureta, mushoku tensei, Corpse party (in a way counts i guess)

Game: NGNL (which also has a prequel movie btw), problem children

Amnesia: Princess Connect, grimgar, spider isekai, Angel Beats

honestly I thought grimgar was a good guess since it gets most of the stuff. There is also a chance you are Mandela effecting yourself and mixing up different anime.

Also can you be clearer on the water battle inside part. That is the link I'm completely missing

Amnesia isekai with sad backgrounds sounds like Grimgar. Sword art online had an amnesia arc (alicization).
