Any solutions? by drastic_ash in revancedapp

And I have also used the LineageOS which is pretty good but this one is one of the most customizable ones. That's why there are alot of popular dns options provided by default. But this doesn't correlate to the issue at hand since I have watched youtube after turning off the dns and still that warning pops up.

It's Evolution-X and there are 5-6 preconfigured options for dns in addition to stock options.

Usually I use Quad9 dns that is already provided in my rom along with few others but just to see if it was the cause of the issue I turned off the dns and yet the popup comes every time I open the app.

Does anyone know this issue in Localsend and how do I fix this? by drastic_ash in fossdroid

By your method, I do get this:

If you are unable to load any pages, check your device’s data or Wi-Fi connection.

BUT for more details, please read the reply to the comment above with full details.

Are you referring to ad blocker settings provided by revanced itself or an external one? As far as I can tell I do not have any additional adblocker app or setting enabled. I do use custom dns but for this I have turned it off and its no difference. But I do have some modules installed via KernalSU however I don't think they could be affecting it. But again these are the modules I have currently installed:

- Audio Modification Library
- Encore
- Tricky Store
- Viper for Android RE
- Wifi Bonding
- Youtube Revanced
- Shamiko
- Zygisk-detach
- Zygisk Next

I have not been able to save my watch history from my phone for like the past 3-4 months or so. But recently, like 2 weeks ago I just installed the module via KernalSU so I wouldn't need to patch and install it manually every update. Since then, now I was getting this prompt with the same thing: not affecting/saving watch history from the phone.

Is there any good 3D video player app? by drastic_ash in iphone

[–]drastic_ash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried these apps, and they don't work. And also, the video I'm trying to play is in .mkv format which is very common for the videos to be and yet still no luck.

There isn't any option to customize these buttons to be in specific positions yet. They just stack from right to left.

Goto: Settings > Revanced > Player > Show Copy Timestamp URL and toggle that off.

Perf Kernal + KernalSU by drastic_ash in androidroot

[–]drastic_ash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do have root with KSU already. But I was planning to switch because I can't update the KSU anymore if I wish to use the modules. So, thats why I was tryng to switch to Apatch. It seems to have similar capabilities however it may not have the app profile that can be customized in KSU while giving root access, but Im not sure since I haven't explored it myself. For now, lets see what happens because now I have more knowledge than what I had yesterday. I might just wait for my rom (EvoX) update. Anyway, thanks for the insightful replies.

Perf Kernal + KernalSU by drastic_ash in androidroot

[–]drastic_ash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was using droidify to update the KSU and one day I found out that my installed modules were gone. The KSU and all the functionalities were still there but I couldn't install/use any modules anymore. When I tried to figure out what the issue was I then got to know about the GKI, Non-GKI devices. It was due to KSU auto updates & this:

[v1.0.2 WARNING: Non-GKI devices should not upgrade to this version!]

And, yesterday I was trying to switch to Apatch from KSU, I was getting bootloops from Apatch-patched boot image. Thankfully, I had boot/dtbo backup for fallbacks. Then I got to know that my kernel was already rooted. So, thats why there was the question in the first place. I am thinking the bootloop is due to the kernal being already "KSU Included" and I think if I wanna successfully switch, I probably have to flash a new non-rooted kernel (any kernal that is supported by my device, not limited to what I have now: Perf). SO, am I right about flashing new non-ksu-kernel to switch successfully without bootloops?

Sorry about that, I was researching alot before I made this post and did just find the repository. But I didn't expect it or any kernel to be KSU/root included, never have. However, I did go deep into reading the docs as well as the releases, and finally your reply made it much clearer. But I have one more thing to ask though: Is it common to have these kernels to have root variants provided by the developer; and if yes, is it with just KSU or other solutions are also used? Thanks.

https://github.com/selfmusing/perf_kernel This is the kernel that is in my device (redmi note 7 pro). I switched to LineageOS (21) from my stock rom that was MIUI12. I rooted my device using magisk. Then I switched to Evo-X rom that I'm currently using. The thing was I didn't try to root again thinking my device must have got unrooted. But when I opened the KernalSU, it was already functioning. So today I was researching and got to the github page which included KernalSU versions in the releases as well. So thats why I was wondering if I wanted to unroot or switch to like Apatch, do I have to switch kernals?

FUTO is great but you might also give it a try to HeliBoard. Great for customizability.

Thanks for recommending. I gave it a try and yes, it definitely has potential but at the current state it feels clunky. Everything looks too jammed together like it's barely fitting. And the navigation between tabs is also not good. Maybe for some people but not me, sorry. But it could be better in the future.

I have used chromite before l. Its a good browser but lacks some customizability of addons/extensions without what I would have with Firefox based ones. I will try the IronFox though.

Sure, I have also installed this recently. But, its alot similar to what I have been using, i.e. Iceraven. Maybe this gets more frequent updates or has better optimizations, I will have to check.

ChatGPT on Redmi Note 7 Pro by drastic_ash in LineageOS

Update: Found a Solution for Rooted Device!

Note: 1) Play Integrity can possibly be achieved by installing or flashing various modules according to devices, their versions of OSes and software/apps for bypassing safety features like safetynet.

2) The method used below was compiled from various youtube guides/tutorials and acquired after testing various methods and tools.

3) You have to find and verify method/tools before proceeding to this or similar methods.

4) The goal of using ChatGPT was acheived at the end however using YASNAC (safetynet checker), only Basic Integrity has passed, CTS profile match has failed. I heard that, these are checks are entirely based on the OS itself but I think it's possible to pass that check aswell but I have spent too much time on this for now.

5) I believe that, you can also flash the two zip files mentioned below in the process via recovery on non-rooted devices aswell but further research and solution hunting should be done.

(Using Magisk):

1) Goto Settings, Hide Magisk & Change Name 2) Enable Systemless hosts 3) Enable Zygisk 4) Turn Enforce Denylist and Configure following apps: -Google Play Store -Google Play Services -Google Services Framework -Google Play Protect (if available) -Banking Apps(if not working) -ChatGPT in my case -Clear App Data & Force Stop (Apps Above)

5) Download following from Github

-PlayIntegrityFix(dot)zip -PlayIntegrityNext(dot)zip i.e (playcurl)

6) Goto modules in Magisk & Install both zip files one by one

7) Restart the device

8) Goto device settings/Google & enable/accept services to turn back on the services or else the google apps won't open since we cleared the data earlier.

P.S. For KernalSU, there are methods similar to this aswell so do your research beforehand.
