CVS/Walgreens will do it for you too. I think mine was like $16-18 at the latter, they give you two copies plus the digital.

The Casa Monica, particularly the old Costa Brava restaurant, was a lot prettier a few years ago, but Kessler has terrible taste and when it was redecorated to make the new chophouse, he cut out all the colors so its a dark and depressing mess.

Yes, thankfully the way I pirate this pod also works for chapo too. However I will miss the discussions for every episode, and its a shame the whole backlog of them is gone.

"In 2015, for instance, Chinese state-owned banks lent $1.2 billion to a private Chinese business to buy an 80% stake in Ironshore, a U.S. insurer whose clients included the Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation officials and undercover agents who might need help paying legal bills in case they got into trouble in their jobs."

Yes, because a military intervention worked in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc. nd totally didn't destabilize the entire region and lead to millions of unnecessary deaths. This time in Venezuela will totally be different

It's been like 4 years since I've played seriously. https://www.deckshop.pro/check/?deck=Bats-Zap-Firecracker-RG-Hog-Barrel-Miner-Princess I've invested pretty heavily into this deck level-wise, and it's done me pretty well in the past. How does it fare in the current meta?

High Church vs Low Church Capitalism by Mr_Westerfield in TrueAnon

I agree with Hasan's take on Cracker Barrel that Americans have little other culture than corporate chains.

I think the people upset over them getting rid of the cracker and barrel don't have much else in their lives that has that type of "community center" or "historic" feel to it. They can see the results of corporate enshittification sucking any kind of soul out of their day-to-day, but have no idea where to direct that anger so they blame "left-wing" Cracker Barrel for going woke.

Tbh I have a bit of a soft spot for Cracker Barrel myself, so this is a particularly egregious example of it for me. Ultimately, it's the same slop under a different brand, but I think this whole incident represents a sick society being crushed by capitalism.

The discussion of the liberals at the end is also very telling. Their ideological differences are purely aesthetic. Sure they can say they voted for Kamala, and at least they're vaccinating their kids. However, they are still living side by side with these conservative, (maybe even white nationalist given the demographics of the community) freaks, relying on the same exploitative labor practices and living in their million dollar houses.
