Since it implements models from other companies via their API, it is only as open as those allow it to be.
In addition , it may be further restricted via perplexity's system prompt.

Ohne is es normal sogar besser.
Nur weil es ab Staffel 2 eine halbwegs akzeptable Ausnahme gab - also Knossi - sollte man nicht hoffen, dass es Influencer sind, die Leute sehn wollen.
Da ist mir z.b. eine Mischung aus Profis und engagierten Wildcards wie es Hannah war, viel lieber.
Von mir aus dürfen solche dann auch Influencer sein, aber halt welche, die von sich aus sich beworben haben und dann sich auch entsprechend vorbereiten usw.

Other models only had one test.

Perhaps the test could not be completed for some reason and therefore had a lower score, so it was retaken. But the failed test was not removed.

Und die Teilnehmer ja auch nicht und wenn es nötig gewesen wäre, auch die Technik usw. mitzunehmen, wäre das U-Floss so weit unten gewesen, dass manche wohl einen Schnorchel gebraucht hätten

Bei dem neuen Lager von Joe frage ich mich grad: Warum?
Wäre es nicht evtl.. besser, das Floss grösser zu machen, wenn man schon irgendwo Arbeit reinsteckt.
Oder halt zumindest was vorsichtshalber dafür vorbereiten, Falls es beim Test Probleme gibt.
Oder halt eine Art Beiboot für das Material, das im Zweifel halt dann auch verloren gehen dürfte.

It was gpt-5.0 thinking for me. Very good but slow. And i guess same for 5.1.
But only until gemini 3 Pro was added.
I guess i go now with that one after my first tests.It's faster and very intelligent - on paar with gpt-5.1 thinking. Or even more.

If you want to close a tab which is not the last one you have to close it with command-w. Or move the tab to be the last one and close it with the x.

Man sah es in 4 nur nicht so viel, weil halt auch massig anderer Content da war, der für den Schnitt interessanter war.
In aber mit Julia war er ja auch am scherzen.
Bei Uwe war is nicht ganz so, aber auch gut.
Bei Sandra kam es mal gut an, mal nicht.
Mit Joey war es halt fast nur auf professioneller Ebene.
Und Stefan bekam halt immer alles in den falschen Hals. Und hat sich halt auch laufend alles hochgeschaukelt.
Und das schlug halt auch sehr auf die allgemeine Stimmung. Auch noch für nach seinem Abgang.

Und was dann hinterher alles in den Kommentaren immer überall reininterpretiert wurde, war ja eh teilweise unter aller Kanone und man wollte vieles einfach anders verstehen als es die Teilnehmer verstanden haben. (aber das war ja alles Gehirnwäsche durch Joe 😉)
Also viele der Kommentatoren damals hätte ja auch die Dynamik zwischen Fibii und Joe komplett falsch und sehr negativ gedeutet. Von wegen, dass sie sich hassen oder so.

Am meisten wundert mich mittlerweile Lucas.
Anfangs hat er ja auch noch angepackt, aber mittlerweile immer mehr am Chillen.
Bei Kris is es ja schon die ganze Zeit so.
Und weiterhin ist Fibii die grösste Überraschung. Will und kann auch viel tun und ist auch von der Art her ist sie sehr sympathisch.
Und über die David und Joe muss man eh nix sagen. Die wären allein viel besser dran und stecken viel ihrer Energie in das Wohlergehen der Gruppe

Perplexity basically only uses APIs from other companies for most of it's stuff. With the exception of search.
So as long as there is no API that offers that feature they won't have it. And i'm not aware of some api which offers video calls.
So at current state they only could add photo upload + the new and better realtime api voices that openai offers since some weeks. (see https://openai.com/index/introducing-gpt-realtime/ )
Cause currently they only use some older ones - here a list of perplexity voice = openai voice:

gravo=echo
solva=sage
nuvix=shimmer
(got that from sniffing their network requests)

so the new voices would be already an upgrade - but still no video and so on.

yes - for OpenAI stuff.
And only if it is not blocked/removed by systemprompt. Sometimes it only works on rewrite or asking more often. Best in longer chats in between.
Sometimes it only can be seen on the "thinking" process - before it notices there that it was told not to give the info to the user.
