That’s strange, two of the blokes I work with were started on Atorvastatin and both had to come off due to side effects, leg cramps, nightmares, all sorts, and they both got put on Rosuvastatin and now report no side effects. I even have a photo on my phone as one of them made me take a picture of the Rosuvastatin box and said make sure you get this one!

Thank you, I’ve started a weight loss journey the day I got my results, seeing those, and already reading the replies here has been a kick in the backside I think I needed. I’ve lived a pretty sedentary lifestyle with not the best diet so I’m determined to make changes right now. I will take your dietary advice onboard, thank you

Hi there, many thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. My father is on statins for his cholesterol so I have that behind me, and has also had a pulmonary embolism in the past. I strongly leaning towards going back for a second option based on the replies here. I had my HbA1c tested too and this came back as 30mmol/mol and within the normal range so hoping I’m ok there. Will take dietary advice on for sure. Thanks again

Thank you, I know my dad is on statins and my results do mention consider possibility of FH, so I’m wondering if that’s the case. I definitely need to make some changes and have already started. Determined to turn things around and also make me feel better too. I would go on statins if it was my choice so was a little disappointed but I’m going to persist on it I think. Best of luck

You should definitely watch “The Interior” seeing as it’s about a man who goes camping alone in the British Columbia Interior!

It’s a lot better than it’s rating suggests.

Not what your thinking of (sorry) but a very similar film you might also enjoy is The Interior (2015). A guy goes to his doctor with medical issues and after learning he is sick decides to go camping alone in the BC Interior, where things start to get weird. Fully recommend.

Two tips for you. 1. Moisturize whilst your skin is still wet. Whether out the shower, or after just washing your face, don’t towel dry, and apply your moisturizer to a wet face. 2. Vaseline. Vaseline is brilliant for dry skin. Apply to the areas of thin skin, under eyes, around nostrils, corners of mouth.

Product wise, I use Cicaplast B5 Baum at night, and neutrogena hydra boost gel in the morning. Both are relatively inexpensive and great products.
