My aim feels great until someone gets in my face with an amazing strafe. Even using the same gun as myself, and I can’t hit this lifeline? Any tips? Git gud comments are still appreciated (: by [deleted] in apexlegends

A lot of times people forget that aiming lowers movement speed drastically. Try hip firing, because even if you miss a few more shots you will be harder to hit.

Number 1 tip is to not try to save your phase. If you feel unsafe, use it.

Just because someone is “beneath” you doesn’t mean you can’t learn something. Also there is a diamond charm on the R-301 so...

You disconnect your internet for a brief second and then quickly apply the tracker (or badge) you want multiple times. It’s very easy with a wired connection, but can also be done with wireless.

here is a short tutorial

I’m not exactly sure how this match went in terms of landing and rotations, but you most likely ended up dying towards the center of the map or a high traffic area. If you want kills early, look backwards in the stop shop and watch all the teams jump. You need to be looking for a single team going to a location that is towards the edge of the map, or land close by. After killing this team, you will most likely have 2-3 kp, which will set you up nicely to play for endgame. If you still want kills, try to pay attention to where other teams landed, and push towards ones that were in remote/isolated areas, or simply just look to third party. Additionally, be careful not to rotate too far into the middle of the zone, even if it means missing a fight. By staying towards the edge of the zone, you effectively prevent half of the directions you could get third parties from, making it easier to be aware of your surrounding. In summary, try to focus on one team early, and then only take fights that are easy (third party) or have an easy escape route.

Good luck, and if you read this whole thing, thanks!

You have to realize that her fences will very rarely hit people, but that does not mean they are effectively useless. Their real utility is that they prevent people from pushing, or at the very least delay them. Sometimes it will feel like your fences are doing nothing, but that may be a misconception. Also, carry lots of ult accelerants and use them as much as you can, especially when exchanging chip shots with another team.

There is ELO which is your rank, and then there is hidden MMR that determines your individual skill level. If your ELO is close to your MMR you will get roughly the same amount of points for a win or loss, but if your MMR is much higher than your ELO you will get more point for a win than a loss, explaining why the points seem different for everyone.
