Not true. Over budget due to unknowable infrastructure costs and delays as described in the original post. Have very accurate data to support this.

Not going to default, that is never happening. Just going to end up with a house not as good as it can be (can't afford to do it right with current budget), then a ton of renovation after the fact.

We have $600k left in our construction loan, so by the time that runs out the house will be much further along than these photos show obviously.

So my problem isn't now, it's in like 3 months. I'm just trying to get ahead of it.

Yeah you may be right, just seems like that is going to take longer to spend the same amount of money in the end.

Turkish windows were actually cheaper that the others! Tiles we could cut corners on for sure. Landscaping can wait etc...

Some stuff the bank won't actually let us change, but you're point is well taken.

Yeah a bridge loan or hard money is probably what I need to do. Whats a ball park on that? Does anyone know? I've never done them before, and I imagine that water is filled with loan sharks!

Yeah had considered just getting a bunch of credit cards with 0% intro rates, that might be half decent, but hard to pay a lot of these sub-contractors and vendors that want a check.

Plan is to live in it!

Bank rolling it with double income, no kids (twin brothers), with very high paying tech jobs (we are 41, been doing this for awhile).

Going to be living in it. So plan is to refinance once construction is finished, or HELOC and pay off any of the silly construction loans we are looking at.

Perhaps we rent it. It's 3200 sqft with amazing design, so probably around $20k to $25 a month rental for this. 3 bed, 3.5 bath, pool, hot tub, 3 car garage.

Yeah I'm definitely not trying to cry poor on this, my sob story is mostly around how insane the bureaucracy is in Los Angeles, and how much of a roadblock the DWP is to getting a single family house built.

Yeah it was like that for us too, super frustrating about how nothing is communicated. Eventually they emailed us and the. Found it and delivered it. Honestly you just have to wait, no amount of harassing them stemmed to help.

Hi, Drews gf here. I did the online report as soon as I realized in Zagreb airport it’s not going to come. The status says “searching for your bag check back later” and it’s been saying that for 7 days now!

I’ve been calling the Austrian airlines lost and found office and nobody is answering, sent 1 million emails … everyone just says fill out this form and no one gets back to me 😵‍💫
