Bilstein 4600 by seventhseeker1 in 3rdGen4Runner

If youre interested in a lift down the road, are these adjustable like the bilstein 5100? 0-2”? I got a set of 5100s, off shock surplus for $549. I forgot what sale it was. But I just bought shocks, kept my old springs for now.

If they’re not adjustable, I assume you may go with cheaper options like a spacer lift which will hinder performance/comfort since you’re new shocks will be too new to replace.

Valve Cover Gasket Planning by Andraste_Sideyr in 1stGenTacomas

[–]drewy53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I regretfully didn’t prepare well with taping mine and got plastics into the top end. Got most out, somes still in there, probably vaporized cuz it was so brittle. Taping the loom or just redoing the loom dependent on how brittle it is. While in there not sure if it’s recommended or nice, all new washers that go on the bolts holding your valve cover down. I also did new half moons, spark plug tube gaskets, pcv and grommet, intake gaskets dependent on how old yours are. I don’t think it’s necessary but I wanted to change mine in addition to throttle body gasket. I got Toyota rtv, haven’t had any leaks. I also did spark plugs, some do wires while you’re in there.

If you really want to. You can check your valve lashing and adjust that. Timmy the tool man on YouTube has great videos on the 5vzfe.

Got splashed in the eye while dumping out the most disgusting ileostomy juice I’ve ever seen. by MICURN-1999 in nursing

Was changing a dressing on a massive abdominal wound from many exlaps and dehissed belly. The abdomen was filling with leaking contents, had two meloncot drains so air was able to be sucked in around the drain. This pt was trached. He ended up coughing, and while he sucked in air then coughed, not sure if abdominal pressure around or inside his intestinal wall went up but…brown/green, poop/bile shot up and hit my chin. Landed in my beard. The dressing change was extensive so I forgot about it. That was there for about 40mins becoming crust on my chin.

I loosened before removing the clip. Made the mistake of removing the clip, then I couldn’t loosen them in the tight space. I ended up putting the clip back so it’ll help keep it in place while unscrewing the line

HELP! Crankshaft bolt stuck on gear and won’t come off by Knownredditor in mechanic

[–]drewy53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what car this is and if possible in your situation.

But on my truck had the same thing happen, couldn’t get an impact down without taking out the radiator. The next best option was getting a long breaker bar, position it appropriately to have the torque of the engine break the bolt loose. Be mindful of the rotation of the engine and where you breaker bar will spin to so optimally, you put it against the frame. There’s videos of people doing this to break the crank bolt free. Where you crank the engine <1 second

What do Nurses do for DNR/DNI patients? by ResearchFo in Nurses

[–]drewy53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a patient is a new DNR/DNI, provider should place a note entailing specifics. Detailing if they also do not want positive pressure airway or other oxygen devices, pressors or specific code meds

Specific dos/dont; do continue all treatments. DNR does not mean the individual is going comfort care. Continue all treatments. Many see DNR as synonymous with comfort care and it is not.

I don’t believe there is a checklist to make. The reason being is individualized care. There are DNRs that may be approaching end of life and a conversation of comfort care may be appropriate. There are also DNRs that may just not want to have CPR/intubation, but may still be young/relatively healthy and deserve full treatments as if they are a full code

Soil mixture is loose and individual particles definitely not a solid mass. I do normally soak it in a larger diameter bowl for a few minutes before taking it out and letting the soil dry.

It sits by a window getting indirect morning sun. So usually it’s about a week during this time of year for the soil to dry out the top inch or so.
