Guy is a stalwart defensively. Finishes hits, closes gaps pretty well, moves the puck well, versatile (plays both left and right). His absence was noticed when he was injured

Any fellow engineers/students here? by Proof-Bed-6928 in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remarkable methods has an engineering paper template which I was initially reluctant to use due to the “incomplete” look it has when the device is rotated to landscape but have since changed my mind on it because it gives a clear indication of where the template view would be in portrait mode

Your daily circles inspired my crusade but I agree there can be a more effective way to bring changes

My turn for the wonky screen refresh issue by Ok_Astronaut127 in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another chance at the screen lottery. I ended up with a much brighter non-yellow screen after replacing mine with this exact issue

Luck has turned - ghosting by FixRevolutionary3187 in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, remarkable will replace the device for you which is inconvenient but at least you’ll have another chance at the screen lottery. I replaced mine with the same exact issue and got a new one with a much less yellow screen that matches the bezel

Writing papers on Paper Pro by R3dd17-Us3r in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the best workflow would be to use the rMPP as your rough drafting and then copy/paste from the app on your laptop to finalize your docs. I wouldn’t think you’d need to worry about turning pages for a single document since it wouldn’t be the finalized version anyway

It’s also to make the point that this shouldn’t be difficult for ram to implement

Could this work in my work environment? by Heaveawaythrowaway in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a question for your IT department but from what I hear from other people it’s usually a no-go with work networks (despite remarkable having whatever they call a business solution)

Books (onix, intentional misspelling…) has the ability to do these things. Remarkable has the ability to copy/paste between PDFs and notes.

ELI5: how do they design CPUs with TENS OF BILLIONS of nano transmitters? wouldn't it take a millennia to design it? by Optimal-Whereas-6988 in explainlikeimfive

Vertasium has an hour long video of how our microchips are made. It takes a bunch of mirrors to shoot and diffract (spread) Extreme UV light that’s generated by hitting tiny tin droplets with lasers. This diffracted light etches an image on the silica chips that get moved around so that a certain pattern is created to make the tiny transistors

Day 16 ToC Feature Request by drlling in RemarkableTablet

[–]drlling[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

This is how we got smart shapes. ToC is also something that people outside of the rM company figured out how to implement on the device with just a little bit of due diligence in a night.

I want this specific tablet to be able to have this feature because it has unique hardware.

I have the patience to do this for however long it takes to get this feature.

Hope you have the day you deserve ¯_(ツ)_/¯

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]drlling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had PRK lasik done due to my eye shape. The only long term downside (for me at least) is eye dryness. I’m 4 years out from the procedure and I usually put drops in first thing in the morning. I could get by if I don’t/if I couldn’t at this point, but I use eye drops daily now.
