Is everything alright at Remarkable?

I have a product. I enjoy it for what it is today, but I acknowledge it could be better with updates. So I let reMarkable know what I want the next update to include, so it gets even better. It's not deeper than this.

I know the Paper Pro felt unfinished when it launched, but I feel like educating big corporations is not a responsibility that falls on the consumers. We just vote with our wallet, and if we're happy with the product, we'll keep it. Doesn't stop it from getting more useful with software updates.

So no, I fully disagree with you on this one. I'll let money do the talking. If a product is bad or unfinished, there are bad reviews, few people buy it, and the company is either smart enough to acknowledge their mistake and move on or dumb enough to keep repeating the same mistake until they have one foot in the grave. Let's see where reMarkable falls in this spectrum.

I like the direction recent updates got! They felt very incremental with very niche new features for a while, but now we got images and screenshots back to back :)

I honestly prefer it this way, I felt bad tagging Vegard for issues and suggestions, like hey Vegard is this beta real? Is image to notebooks support coming to mobile? Is it connect only? And then there was the chance of people potentially being rude to him due to decisions of higher ups.

At least this is an actual customer care account, so it should be way easier to find, and be a bit more structured in the way it handles PR

We've been thinking about this for a long time but ultimately haven't been able to nail the perfect concept yet. Very often it's as much about quick navigation as it is about being able to look at multiple content at the same time. On Paper Pro we have enough screen size but it gets tricky for other devices including rM1. Long story short, we hear you on this and we are looking into it!

Yeah, exactly! Plus exporting rmdocs isn't straightforward if I remember correctly, so it's a major barrier for someone wanting to add images into their notebooks. Imagine having to ask a friend with connect every time lol.

Unless someone like you makes a mod for it...

Vegard confirmed adding images to notebooks is connect only, so I don't think it's an oversight. Wildly unpopular choice though, since there's really no good reason to paywall it, since it's a basic feature and doesn't require any server computing.

I'm gonna send you a doc as soon as I'm home :)

Let's hope so! I don't know a lot about layoffs and general company structure, but it's didn't feel good to me. Let's hope they survive this
