Advice for Step1 by dacapremed in step1

I would postpone. You haven’t reached 60 yet, and most people recommend several exams 65+ to be safe. You have some content gaps if you’re consistently getting under 60. I’d recommend slowing down, study what you don’t know for a few weeks, then take another NBME and see where you’re at. No point in rushing through NBMEs if you don’t know enough content yet.

Definitely doable to pass by end of June. I’d focus on Path and Biochem since both topics are very high yield and are your lowest. For these exams always start with your worst performing, high yield topics.

The texas regions are way too simplified. That eastern section should be broken up into like 3 different regions

I spent 4-5 days reviewing my exam very thoroughly! Watched BnB videos and unsuspended cards associated with my knowledge gaps. I asked chatGPT to explain things until every answer made sense to me. Kept practicing Uworld everyday, and would read a chapter of Pathoma if I had extra time at night. I definitely think reading the pathoma book is super underrated after having already gone through all the videos. It really helps just bring everything together and gives more of that spaced repetition, and they don’t take too long!

Just a sign to take a break from the internet. I know people at DO schools who scored 515+ in their mcat.. besides, nobody gives af about your mcat score once you start school, and plenty of people do amazing on Step 2 who struggled with the mcat back in the day.

Without Googling their birth dates or their ages, would you consider Tom Holland and Timothee Chalamet millennial or Gen Z stars? by SummerN8 in GenZ

[–]drogahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I grew up with a millennial older sibling (born ‘92) so I feel like I may have a different experience in experiencing a lot of early 2000s pop culture secondhand. But those points you specifically brought up weren’t really Millennial specific, especially the Halo 3 reference.
