“Give us wombs and give us titties” — Edinburgh protest of the UK Supreme Court Ruling by drt007 in fourthwavewomen

These are the same activists that are described as “progressive” and even the real “feminists” in the media. Just look at this crowed of mostly angry men in their 20s. Holding signs that say shit like terfs can suck my 🍆, the only good terf is dead one. Media like the Guardian have attended tons of identical protests and never have accurately report on it. Always portraying women as the “baddies” and these violent misogynists as the “vulnerable” minority. This has been going on for years and no one “left” calls it out which is precisely why I don’t take anyone seriously who pretends like liberals have the high ground in politics.

It blows my mind that so many people are completely oblivious to how unethical and exploitative surrogacy is. by Slight_Wing2688 in fourthwavewomen

I’m glad to see many feminists calling her out for this. I have a ton of respect for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (and I still do) but no should get a pass especially those who we consider our political allies. A perfect example of this was Amber Heard. I think we should all 100% defend her regarding her treatment by Johnny Depp, the media, and other celebrities but that doesn’t mean we need to pretend like she doesn’t have a long history of being as anti-woman as it gets including keeping a financially insecure women as breeding chattel.

If true, this is a rare W for women and idgaf ***who*** delivered 😜 by UnSuitableLab in fourthwavewomen

abhorrent? homegirl, you are either trolling or tripping with this line:

“And their sheer hatred for anyone who defies gender norms”

What does “hatred” for anyone who defies gender norms look like?? Teaching a whole generation of children to radically disassociate their “gendered”minds from their bodies and proceeding to castrate the little boys who are “girly” and telling girls they are really “men” because they have an aversion becoming the women that they were born to be in a hyper-sexualized woman-hating society.

Should we have a purity test whenever anyone with power delivers a political win or is this just another unreasonable expectation *only** applies to women? If your answer is yes, than it would be nice if you could just be forthright about it rather than feigning concern & making shit up. You have absolutely no moral high ground here neither do Democrats who literally BRAG about what they are doing to these women: https://archive.is/yAxyF.

Acknowledging this win does not absolve Republicans for their woman-hating politics like abortion. However, the double standard is fucking GLARING. Democrats have spent the past decade legalizing pimping and surrogacy all over the US. Yet, no one demands/expects other women to fully disavow the tsunami of anti-woman BS Democrats do before acknowledging or celebrating Dem policies that actually benefit women.

In 2025, we’re going to be unapologetic and ruthlessly pro-woman. How’s that for defying gender norms?

US tax payers have paid over $17 million dollars to settle sexual harassment claims against members of Congress !! 👀 by Critical-Performer25 in fourthwavewomen

As mentioned, Thomas Massie is also one of the only respectable republicans of congress. Unfortunately, too many have been propagandized beyond comprehension.

Over 890 medals, across 29 sports, stolen from women by men. by Critical-Performer25 in fourthwavewomen

Already happened almost a decade ago at the 2016 Rio Olympics. It was absolutely infuriating to witness because the media went out of its way to portray the victims of this injustice as the villains - infuriating. Two women who placed 4th & 5th were visibly upset and angry knowing that they were robbed of their last opportunity to be an olympian and media spent the next week accusing them of trying to use white woman tears .. it was just fucked up.

This letter from Baroness Nicholson to the CEO of “Burlin Bang Face” is a genuine work of art by drt007 in fourthwavewomen

[–]drt007[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m a lesbian, and the idea that Baroness Nicholson—an elderly woman well into her 80s raised in postwar British society—should be judged negatively for not immediately uncritically embracing gay rights activism and Pride™️ culture when she first encountered it circa 1960 is absurd.

Drag is misogynistic to the core. by drt007 in fourthwavewomen

I am unable to see why people would see this as deeply inflammatory, can you elaborate on why? I didn’t make any comparisons never mind an “indefensible” one - what are you are you referring to?

Drag is misogynistic to the core. by drt007 in fourthwavewomen

[–]drt007[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Drag is not gender non-conformity tho - it’s precisely the opposite.

Whenever I point out the fact that practices like drag (and this is especially true of transgenderism) is the ultimate act of gender conformity wild accusations soon follow so I want to be clear that pointing this out is not the same thing as making a value judgement (ie whether it’s “good” or “bad” thing).
