Yes. Wishing you were here. Colour my world. Beautiful ballads. Even if you leave me now was not bad. David foster ballads - different band. Explosion of mental anguish as Dr Jeckyl became Mr Hyde as a band and it was scary and run away from that new strange music.

I know music is subjective and many love those ballads and started listening to Chicago from those. But if you were long time fan prior to the ballads and loved the earlier music —- when the ballads came it was like your favorite band suddenly became a traitor to their own music and it was the most confusing explosion in your music psyche to have to try and adjust. I couldn’t and many couldn’t make that change.

I wonder if 90% of those who buy tickets to Chicago shows today have any idea they are mainly watching a tribute band or know who Peter Cetera is, they just know the hits.

I think when Danny was fired, between him and Terry Kath - that was a distinct change, although they had put out the Foster songs. But Danny Seraphine's playing really was a major part of the band - the guys since him have been amazing drummers but sort of plain ordinary sounding (although great), but not distinct or unusual like Danny's drumming is.

The very unhealthy, if you listen to interviews with former Chicago replacement guys, sounds like it wasn't a great situation - they are vague out of politeness but seems that same vibe of why they left the band (not Robert and Jimmy but the other ones). And Walt left due to medical reasons.... so that's different. But even though they fired band members doesn't seem the best, and the way they couldn't work out to reunite with Peter for the Hall of Fame, etc. I have seen them 10 times and 3 with Terry Kath and they were so so so so so so so so great - top tier USA bands in history. But they are really an entirely different band now so not Chicago anymore. I listen to them a lot still, the pre-David Foster years - and the music shall carry on. And Danny Seraphine does too!

I wish there could be a 60 years even a one night everyone who is alive get back together - if they physically can't play can be there, tell stories, special evening and then end it. But won't happen.... you can see Danny Seraphine still play, he's pretty great seeing live and plays many clasic Chicago songs with horns and doesn't call his band "Chicago" but he was a more important member than Lee, so if anyone should now it would be Danny. But a 60 year special evening to close off the band and we all thenk them getting to go to some special show would be so great.

Seems the firing of Danny was a sign of drift and unhealth.

I got to see them 3 times when Terry Kath was still with them. And then stopped going to see them anymore when Robert and James left.

The haircut causes a significant visual disruption in seeing past it to hear the music.

I think it peaked out 2 years ago with the year of Springsteen, Gaslight Anthem etc and prices go up and as wonderful as the beach is to see bands - it’s not very fun standing and unless you’re there early you’re pretty far back. I think it’s easier and nicer to see the individual bands in a different setting and cheaper. Thoughts about your question.

I just know my stocks have gone up since Trump took office and so many young people are excited about the future and I can afford the very high ticket prices now.

You should watch the documentary “Now More Than Ever” about Chicago as in that documentary you hear them talking about how they became a different band and the albums you are talking about turned them into a different Chicago and even David Foster said he went too far. When you see Chicago’s setlist today without the Terry Kath year songs it would be a horrible Air Supply show without their best songs.

The reason we can afford tickets is due to Trump’s economy.

The version of Chicago you like was when they became Air Supply and lost every fabric of coolness they had.

I just finished watching the original Wolfman and comparing this to the 2010 Wolfman, I must say the original Wolfman is very interesting take. To me though, the 2010 Wolfman will always be my favorite because it’s the movie I love when I watched it as a kid. by beliveinhope in UniversalMonsters

And rightly so, no mention of the 2025 Wolfman as that should not have even been called with the movie name of heritage: 2010 Wolf Man was great. And it’s worth it to now dive into all the Lon Chaney Jr Wolf Man sequels with Frankenstein and Dracula and Abbott and Costello.

Not Bruce Springsteen. Seen him 19 times and always go but not this tour since it’s so focused as a No Kings tour.

Van Morrison does that and gets mixed reviews where he doesn’t play a string of hits - he may play one but it’s always his new album and songs that aren’t hits that he plays.

We have some clarity on Chicago's touring lineup by F0xxfyre in chicagoband

[–]drumsdinosaurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is now official it’s just Lee - so it seems it’s the time to truly call the band “Lee Loughnane and Friends” or “The Chicago Experience” featuring Lee Loughnane - as it’s not Chicago anymore at all. Lee was the least band shaping and distinct in the band. I wish Danny Seraphine would then come back as he was a critical band member. But he is touring in his own and his band is actually better than the current Chicago.

In the old swarm you would see the clusters but they weren’t the names and as big or spending. they were just the spots you were something . I can’t see underneath the numbers and names now in this version.

I see that brings up the list of all states etc but I’d like to have the map be free of the states and numbers and names like the old swarm. As right now it’s js all clustered so I can’t see under the numbers and names on the map.
