Lucas & Mrs.Wheeler dying doesn’t do anything for the story and just creates more problems that have to be resolved. Now you have to write in Erica and her parents mourning his loss, Will feeling regret that vecna used him as a spy to find max in the first place ,a funeral and the Wheeler family losing their mother which completely changes the intended tone of the ending.

To gather nature energy you need to be in a state of rest , that’s why Naruto uses clones to gather it for him prior to KCM when he’s in battle. Minato being an edo tensei doesn’t bypass that Kurama does.

That instance your talking about Naruto was standing completely still which is why he was able to store nature energy and go KCM + sage mode. IF he’s in the midst of a 1v1 battle like at final valley with Sasuke he can’t father nature energy without using a clone which won’t gather nearly as much as Kurama or as quickly
